Warriors Arise: November 11, 2023
Isaiah 26:3-4
You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.
Trust in the LORD forever,
For in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.
I have struggled to write this because we struggle as a nation to give honor where honor is due and to receive honor when honor is given.
It is Veteran's Day and I believe we should honor our Veterans. I would ask each one of you to set your clocks for 11 am and observe the two minutes of silence in respect for those who have fought for your and mine freedom here in America. Let's pray for them and their families. Many who returned from war times, have experienced things that may be tormenting them. For your freedom, they had to do things they never thought they would have to do. I am passionate for people to be honored for the things they have done when serving others.
Pray for peace to come upon their mind and in all their relationship.
Pray for joy to be restored.
Pray they would receive the honor given.
Pray for direction.
Pray for wisdom to know how to handle the experiences they have had.
Pray for the change that happened in them because of their service for our freedom to lead to a change that enhances their personal life, family relations, and continued purpose.
Pray God reveals to them what they are to do "after" the sacrifice, pain and experience.
Pray for restoration in their body, soul, spirit, mind, and all relationships.
Father, I come before You asking for You to minister Your newness of life to all Veterans. Thank you for calling our Veterans to serve our country. Thank you for each one who answered the call to military service. I pray each one will receive Your peace today. I pray the tormenting thoughts from the experiences they had will be overturned as they receive Your peace and receive honor for what their commitment. I ask for You to come into their lives and restore what has been lost. I pray for their mind to be set upon You. I pray they know how valuable they are to You, to their families, and how they are needed in our world. I pray they would stand tall as the hero they have been and continue to be for our freedom. No athlete would turn away praise for what they accomplished in a game. I pray no Veteran would turn away praise for what they accomplished while they were serving our country to keep us free. You selected a few to be the brave. I pray each Veteran receive Your peace and joy in their life today and live in it every day of their life in Jesus' name amen.
