Warriors Arise: November 27, 2020
1 Samuel 30:13a (NKJV) Then David said to him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?"
After the man had been restored in strength David asks two necessary questions.
To whom do you belong?
Where are you from?
1 Samuel 30:13b (NKJV) And he said, “I am a young man from Egypt, servant of an Amalekite;
The Egyptian does not hold back the information David is wanting. He is willing to share. How would you answer these two questions?

Mother of Abigail, Josiah, Lydia, Selah and Charis
For some that is all they can answer but I have one more: "I am daughter of the Lord Almighty, God most High, the King of kings and Lord of lords. I am an heir to His kingdom, the apple of His eye, fearfully and wondrously made in the image of my God. I am His and He is mine."
Where are you from?
I was born in Lake City, Iowa
Raised in Conrad, Iowa
College in North Charleston, South Carolina
Began managing a hotel in Jacksonville, FL and then Effingham, IL
Moved to Granbury, TX to marry my husband
Ministry took us to Norway, South Carolina, Orangerburg, South Carolina, and now I reside in rural Liscomb, Iowa.
However, I was a dream in my Daddy's heart. He fashioned me in my mother's womb. He gave me my personality, talents, and traits I would need to accomplish the destiny He has for me. I live today not of the world but of my Father's. I am an ambassador from my Father's kingdom to the people of this world. I take residence here until such a time as He calls me to return home. I do the work of my Father to expand His kingdom here on earth.
David could have asked a third question but the Egyptians answered it without being asked.
1 Samuel 30:13c (NKJV) and my master left me behind, because three days ago I fell sick.
3. Why are you here?
This is an important question. We may not struggle with the first two questions but there are a lot of us who trip and fall directly on our face with this third question. Why AM I here? With all of the heartache and trouble, controversy and conflict, lies and betrayal, why are any of us here? It is as if people do not know how to get along, to encourage one another, to make the best of a situation, to honor others, and to grow in dignity and integrity. We can get confused by others, their lack of character and selfishness. We can get discouraged by their unwillingness to honor the work others have done, to provide the opportunities they have today. We can get hard-hearted thinking no one really cares. These things can tempt us to quit, to stop doing what we know is right by our God and His love for us and others.
Why are you here? Why did God create you for this time, for this generation, in your family, with your kids and grandkids? What is it that He purposed in You when He knitted you in your mother's womb?
I can't answer these questions for you. These are questions I hope you will go before God and hear what He says. We are not to live each day aimless and then one day we die. We are to live with purpose. Each day God has a plan for us. God is working in You, wanting to prepare you to fulfill your destiny. Do you know why you are here? What is God's plan for helping you fulfill your destiny?
Father, I come before You today. I belong to You. I am Your child. You have commissioned me as Your ambassador. You have made me an heir to Your kingdom. I am equipped to release Your kingdom here on earth. I am empowered to remove the enemy from my family, my friends and the dominion You have given me. You knit me together with my personality and talents to fulfill the destiny You placed within me. I have a purpose to live here in this time, this generation, this family and in this place in the world. I ask You to speak clearly Your plan for how I am to fulfill that purpose. I ask for You to direct my path for living out the destiny You have for me. I ask for You to teach me to seize every opportunity to remove the enemy from the dominion You have given me. I will not be silent about Your love for me and to others. I will not sit by and allow the enemy to harness or torment my family or friends. I will take a stand against the enemy. The lies of the enemy must go in Jesus' name. The deception and fraud must stop in Jesus' name. The confusion will be given a light to reveal the truth. The deeds done in darkness will be exposed in Jesus' name. Your kindness will draw people to repentance. Your peace will conquer anger and frustration. Your joy will abound to give us strength to walk in integrity and live out our purpose. Your love will never fail in Jesus' name amen.

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies.
