Warriors Arise: August 6, 2023
Matthew 4:4-6 (NKJV) But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, 6 and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:
What do you recognize between verse four and five? Nothing! Make a mental note of this. When you have the excact Scripture for the temptation the devil tries to ensnare you, he has no comeback. He can't say anything.
I had so much more to written, but I move it to tomorrow. As I was reading aback through this, I felt the point for today's Arise was covered up. Here is the point, when you have the right verse from the Bible to combat the temptation from the enemy, he has nothing to say. Learn the Word. Believe the Word. Be ready to cut down temptation with the Word you have.
Father, I come before You today and desire to sharpen my sword. I want to know Your Word and my sword to be ready to cut down the lies of the enemy. I want the Word of God flowing through my thoughts like blood flows through my veins. I want to know Your Word and use it accurately. I pray for the Holy Spirit to teach me, prepare me, and direct me in learning Scriptures. Thank you for this example. Your Word is my strong other. It is the power I carry with me to defeat the enemy. I will embrace it and live by it. Even in my personal imperfections, Your word will be my lamp of truth. I will use it against the temptations of the enemy in Jesus' name amen!
