Warriors Arise: April 23, 2023

1 Chronicles 16:8-35 (NASB) Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name;

Make known His deeds among the peoples.

9 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him;

Speak of all His wonders.

10 Glory in His holy name;

Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.

11 Seek the LORD and His strength;

Seek His face continually.

12 Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done,

His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,

13 O seed of Israel His servant,

Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!

14 He is the LORD our God;

His judgments are in all the earth.

15 Remember His covenant forever,

The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,

16 The covenant which He made with Abraham,

And His oath to Isaac.

17 He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,

To Israel as an everlasting covenant,

18 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan,

As the portion of your inheritance.”

19 When they were only a few in number,

Very few, and strangers in it,

20 And they wandered about from nation to nation,

And from one kingdom to another people,

21 He permitted no man to oppress them,

And He reproved kings for their sakes, saying,

22 “Do not touch My anointed ones,

And do My prophets no harm.”

23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth;

Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.

24 Tell of His glory among the nations,

His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.

25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised;

He also is to be feared above all gods.

26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols,

But the LORD made the heavens.

27 Splendor and majesty are before Him,

Strength and joy are in His place.

28 Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples,

Ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name;

Bring an offering, and come before Him;

Worship the LORD in holy array.

30 Tremble before Him, all the earth;

Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.

31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice;

And let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.”

32 Let the sea roar, and all it contains;

Let the field exult, and all that is in it.

33 Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD;

For He is coming to judge the earth.

34 O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;

For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

35 Then say, “Save us, O God of our salvation,

And gather us and deliver us from the nations,

To give thanks to Your holy name

I realize it might seem like I am stuck. I am hovering on this exhortation David is giving the people after they have brought the ark of the Covenant back into the city for all the people to be united with God. Today, I stand in awe of God. I have such overwhelming heart full of gratitude. He is amazing. I think back to yesterday and alI He did. I missed my alarm, Scott was helping some friends of ours so he wasn't home. But then I wake up to his voice calling me. I believe God sent him home to get me up. Then he stayed to run sound at the Overflow Gathering.

God stopped time so I could shower and get completely ready for Overflow in 15 minutes. I believe the clock maybe stood still for a few minutes. The ladies were so forgiving. I feel like I am bumbling and God says, "Just be willing. All I need you to do is listen to me. Say what I want you to say." The studying and preparing I do is important; it gives me a foundation. However, God wants me to be in the flow. In the past, because of my insecurities I could come and be completely over prepared. God is showing me that He wants me to be fluid with Him, like a dance.

I had the opportunity years ago to dance with my grandfather at my cousin's wedding. He had to teach me how to dance. He talked to me about how to feel His hand that was holding mine give a slight pull or push to know which way he was going to go. He also talked to be about how I could feel his hand on my back. A slight pressure of his fingers meant he was going to twirl me and a slight touch of the heel of his hand meant we were moving backward. I felt very clumsy in his hands. He was so graceful and smooth. He knew exactly where we were going and what He wanted me to do as He led. Yesterday, at the Overflow Gathering, God took me on a dance. I felt like we were moving together, as one. I am so grateful for the lives of each one of the ladies. God had a specific word for each one. The testimonies of what was shared makes my heart beat with an enormous amount of love. God is so incredible.

Today, I am thankful, God has asked me to dance. I can trust Him to lead. I look for the touch of his hand holding mind to lead me. I feel the slight pressure of his hand on my back when we need to back up or make a turn. God doesn't want a solo dance with everyone circling around Him, cheering Him on. God wants a dance partner who is sensitive to His leading. God wants you as His dance partner. Are you willing to step onto the dance floor and let God lead you and direct the dance? He will bring you out of the darkness onto the dance floor. You just have to say, "Yes."

Father, I am amazed at Your wonderful love toward me. I stand in awe of You. I look to You to invite me onto the dance floor. I want to move with You in all that You have called me to do. I trust You to lead me. I trust You to guide me. I trust You to protect me. I trust You to speak words of life through me. You are so willing to teach me Your ways. You keep coming to me and inviting me to dance with You, to share Your love with others and the truth of who You are. I am grateful You have not given up on me. I am grateful You didn't let me quit. I am thankful You chose me, embraced me and taught me how to move with You. I am in awe of You. Thank You for taking the time, so much time to teach me how to follow You, in Jesus' name amen.
