Warriors Arise: November 7, 2022
Psalms 139:17-18 (NKJV)
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
Aren't you thankful our God thinks good thoughts about us? His thoughts toward you and I are precious. God was so excited for you to be born into this world. He didn't send you here to torment you. Here, on earth, in this life, is when you will learn of Him. This is your opportunity to connect in a vibrant relationship with Daddy, God. His love for you and me is beyond what we can comprehend. To wish we had never been born is to deny God the fulfillment of His dream hidden inside of you. Just like parents who are waiting of their first child to be born, He waited for you. He had so many plans of living this life together. You may not be where you want to be, maybe you told God, "No" and even your own dreams have begun to slip away. Maybe you don't even dream for a better life, breakthrough in the struggles you face, or doing great exploits with God. But God has not given up on you. God's love overflows from heaven. He desires to ignite the dreams He put inside of you. The only reason we do not fulfill the dreams is if we stop engaging our heart and mind when we meet with God. A relationship goes stagnate when we mindlessly go through the actions, surrendering to the comforts and the way life is right now while we forget the dreams God placed in us.
I have had life throw one difficult situation after another. It felt like I could barely catch my breath before the next wave would come. I would pray the undertow would not take me into the depths of darkness, depression, and hopelessness. I would try desperately to find God. I knew He would be there. I knew I just had to know His presence and He would make a way out. I knew I couldn't give up. There was too much at stake. I knew the dreams God had inside of me had not been fulfilled. There were times the darkness felt like it was going to swallow me up and suffocate me, but God would call to me in the depth of the soul and spark a renewed desire, a new fight, a new tenacity to get out of the darkness. I would not allow myself to become a victim of my circumstances. I refused to receive words that spoke against what God called me to do. I would remind myself, "Veridee, you are still breathing, do something with the breath you have been given today." I would remind myself, "God's Word is true. I believe every Word. Regardless of the situation, His thoughts toward me are precious. No matter what someone has said, I will rise and walk in the fullness of what my God has for me. I am an Overcomer. He will be glorified, because I have chosen to believe Him and put off the things of this world. He will be magnified, because I will embrace the call He has upon my life. I will make my Daddy proud. I will represent the King by living in the fullness of the dreams He had for me. I will not let others tell me what I can and cannot do. They don't know what God can do with a willing vessel who believes His every Word. I will hear the precious thoughts He thinks of me. They will give me drive to do what God has called me to do. I will embrace fear of the unknown in my spirit and use it to fuel my determination to walk in faith and confidence. I will boldly walk through the doors God is opening. I will not get caught up in what others say I can and cannot do. When God says, "Go and do." I will go and do. I will be known as one who fulfilled the dreams God placed within my life. God will be glorified in my willingness to serve Him with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind and with all my strength.
I haven't heard all the precious thoughts God has toward me. At a young age, I didn't know to listen for His voice. But God has met with me so many times, I know He loves me. I know He is with me. I know He is for me. I know He has dreams for me to fulfill. I know His love is amazing toward me. Do you?
Do you know God desires to speak to you every day?
Do you know God's voice? Can you pick His voice out when confusion speaks?
Do you know God's amazing love poured out for you?
Do you know God is with you every second of every minute of every day?
Do you know God is for you? He wants you to succeed, achieve, overcome, and be the victor?
Do you know God has dreams for you to fulfill? Age doesn't exist for God. Young and old, have dreams from God to fulfill. As long as you are breathing, you have dreams given to you by God for you to fulfill.
Do you know God's precious thoughts toward you?
Do you want to know how to identify whether you believe God's precious thoughts toward you?
In the battle, you will have peace.
In the storm, you will have authority.
In the victory, God will be glorified.
In your day, you will be looking for God and join Him like Jesus did. In your conversations you will be testifying of what God has done.
In your words you will be speaking faith, because you know God will make a way out, the crooked places straight, and light for you to see in the darkness.
What you say always reveals what you believe. What are you saying? Do your words say you believe the precious thoughts God has toward you and that there are too many to count?
Father, I am incredibly thankful for Your precious thoughts toward me. I need to hear them. I need to hear Your voice speak to me. I stand in awe of how You will speak a precious thought You have for me and when I listen You will speak another. Even when I do not have a need, You reveal to me Your precious thoughts. Even when I am not thinking of You and Your kingdom, You will drop into my mind a precious thought of me. Thank You for knowing my need to hear Your voice speak the precious thoughts You think toward me. Thank You for giving me hope when darkness tries to suffocate me. Thank You for this wonderful relationship You have offered me. Your words are life to me. When the people of this world spew words of ugliness and discouragement, I remember what You have said to me. I remember Your thoughts toward me. Your thoughts are what matter in my life and I will let them saturate me until they become a part of my DNA. I will receive the precious thoughts You speak toward me in Jesus' name amen.
