Warriors Arise: October 24, 2023
Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet."
Do you have flavor or are you bland? When you receive Jesus Christ as Your Savior and Lord, the Holy Spirit dwells within you, you have been given flavorful salt. Jesus commission His disciples and each one of us to join Him in His Father's business. We are to take the message of freedom, restoration, redemption, significance, hope, abundance, peace, joy, and power upon His authority to all the earth.
Jesus is counting on You to make His sacrifice worth it. He wants all to know what He has done. When they know, He is interceding at the right hand of the Father, for each one to believe and receive the truth. He desires for each one of us to embrace what He has done for us so we will do for others.
You are valuable, necessary and needed. You are the salt of the earth. You are to take the message of Jesus Christ and share it with flavor. When you share Jesus is it with flavor or is it bland?
How do you share?
Are you excited?
Are you confident that what He did for you, He wants to do for them?
Are you compassionate?
Are you listening for the lies so you can expose the lie with God's truth?
Are you passionate about what God has done?
Do you have a testimony of your Salvation experience?
Do you have several specific testimonies of how you have seen God move in your life?
When we share God's amazing story of His Son's sacrifice for our Salvation, it should be seasoned with plenty of salt. It should be flavorful, not bland. Make a list of what God has done for you in the past couple of weeks. Write them out as if you re telling a story to a child. Give details and celebrate. Children love the end because they have a natural desire to hope. They want the best. They believe the best will come.
Father, I ask for You to come. I would like to be reminded of how You have actively been a part of my life through provision, courage, boldness, opportunities, abundance, authority, power, peace, compassion and guidance. I want to thoroughly see where You have been active. I want to not only be ready to testify but I want to have th opportunity to give my testimony. I want to flavor the lives of others with the saltiness of Jesus Christ in my life and the leading of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name amen.
