Warriors Arise: November 26, 2020
1 Samuel 30:11-12 (NKJV) Then they found an Egyptian in the field, and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, and they let him drink water. 12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. So when he had eaten, his strength came back to him; for he had eaten no bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights.
David and his men found this man on the brink of death. If they had not come alone he would not have made it. If the man had refused to receive the bread and water he would have condemned himself to his fate.
God comes to us, he draws us to Himself, He offers us exactly what we need to be strengthened to live.
How did God find you?
Afraid?
In Need?
Hurting?
Alone?
Hungry?
Empty?
Stressed?
Out of control?
Confused?
The easiest way for God demonstrate His love is when we are desperate. Generally, this Egyptian had been cast away. He was left behind because he was weak from sickness. His master did not want him anymore. God created each one of us in His image. He did not want us to be confused in who we are and Whose we are. Because we are His, He comes to us and rescues us just like He sent David and his men across this Egyptian's path. This is no coincidence. This is God putting things in motion for both to receive better in life.
God comes to each one of us. You may only remember the time He came to you when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but He came many times before and countless times after. He speaks to you, directing your path to set you up to achieve the dreams He planted inside of you. He heals you when you are sick. He strengthens you when you are weak. He breaths life into you when feel hopeless. He holds you when you need a hug. He reaches down from heaven and meets you right where you are.
How do you react when God rescues you?
Psalms 100:4-5 (NKJV) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

1 Timothy 1:12-15 (NKJV) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, 13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Psalms 26:7 (NKJV) That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, And tell of all Your wondrous works.
Psalms 95:1-2 (NKJV) Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
Father, we come to You with thanksgiving on our lips and gratefulness in our heart! You have always been with me. You have always known my need and reached toward me with lovingkindness. I thank you for teaching me Your ways and giving me understanding. I thank you for sharing wisdom and helping me to apply it to my life. You see me when I am weak and tend to every cell in my body. You make me strong. You see me when I am hurt and spread Your love to heal my wound. You see me when I am sick and disease is kicking me around. Even then, Your love never fails! Your love causes my immune system to defeat the sickness and remove the disease from my body. I thank you for all You are and all You are to me! I praise Your Name and stand in awe of Your goodness. Thank you for all You have done in my life and all You are doing. I know You are for me to achieve the dreams You have placed inside of me. I will walk in Your ways all of the days of my life in Jesus' name amen!
