1 Chronicles 16:7-35 (NKJV) 7 On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the Lord:
8 Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
9 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
10 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
11 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
12 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
13 O seed of Israel His servant,
You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
14 He is the Lord our God;
His judgments are in all the earth.
15 Remember His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
16 The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac,
17 And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the allotment of your inheritance,”
19 When you were few in number,
Indeed very few, and strangers in it.
20 When they went from one nation to another,
And from one kingdom to another people,
21 He permitted no man to do them wrong;
Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes,
22 Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”
23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth;
Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.
24 Declare His glory among the nations,
His wonders among all peoples.
25 For the Lord is great and greatly to be praised;
He is also to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols,
But the Lord made the heavens.
27 Honor and majesty are before Him;
Strength and gladness are in His place.
28 Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
Give to the Lord glory and strength.
29 Give to the Lord the glory due His name;
Bring an offering, and come before Him.
Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!
30 Tremble before Him, all the earth.
The world also is firmly established,
It shall not be moved.
31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad;
And let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.”
32 Let the sea roar, and all its fullness;
Let the field rejoice, and all that is in it.
33 Then the trees of the woods shall rejoice before the Lord,
For He is coming to judge the earth.
34 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
35 And say, “Save us, O God of our salvation;
Gather us together, and deliver us from the Gentiles,
To give thanks to Your holy name,
To triumph in Your praise.”
God truly is on His throne. He is not shaken by the world events or even the agenda of the deceived. Sometimes we can be so consumed with what the enemy is doing that we stop doing what God has commissioned us to do. However, it is good battle plans to know your enemy, their tactics, and be aware of their movement. We are called to take a stand against the enemy. We are exhorted to be proactive in our citizenry. We are commanded to pray for our leaders. We are to pray for lies to be exposed and the truth to be known. In James 4:7, we are told to "submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from us". Therefore, we take a stand AND we preach the Gospel according to Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV).
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
I want to praise the Lord, God Almighty who was and is and is to come. There is no doubt that He was. He was here before the foundation of the earth and set the stars in the heavens. He is here walking us through the shadow of darkness, leading us out of our prison cells, renewing our mind from destructive ways of thinking to kingdom living, and directing us to be equipped to take a stand against the enemy. We are not to let the enemy take any more ground. Some of us are to be facing the enemy to push back the agenda of Satan, while others are called to sneak through enemy lines and share the Gospel, set the captives free, bring truth to the deceived, and disciple them in God's love and call upon their lives.
As Christians we must be able taking our place, occupying what we have been given and then advancing to push the enemy off of what God has given to us. Think about David's history. All he had known for his entire life is the Philistines continually setting up war lines against his people, to take what God had given them. The Philistines were in and occupied the land God had given His people. Let's read what God told Joshua.
Joshua 1:2-6 (NKJV) “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.
Joshua and the Israelites were fighting to receive what God promised them. However, 7 of the 12 tribes did not remove the inhabitants. They allowed them to remain in the land God had given them (Judges 1:27-36). In America, a nation declaring to be under God, we have allowed the enemy to come into our land and occupy what God has given us. There really isn't a way to get rid of the people who are occupying out land who do not live their life to love God. I am calling for people, God's people, those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, to take a stand. This stand we must take is to be bold in living for Christ:
Share God's love.
Give testimony to His saving grace.
Invite them to know God.
Meet with them to share consistently about God's love.
Testify of God's involvement in your life.
Make sure they see how amazing God is.
Allow your heart to be passionate about God's love and plans for them.
Be faithful to God so you will share the truth, the Gospel.
What are we afraid of? Why do we assume people are saved? If we aren't assuming they are saved, then we don't care if they aren't. The only way this nation is giong to return to God is if we the people of God share boldly. That means we are going to have to talk to people. We are going to have to get over ourselves and what we think they are going to say. If your life is true to mine, then you are "friends" with nonbelievers anyway. You might know of them, but you don't know them. They wouldn't have your back if you needed help. You might have theirs because that would be the Christian thing to do, but you wouldn't call on them in a crisis because you know they don't seek God.
It comes down to this, we are not going to take our nation back, if we are not going to be bold about sharing the Gospel. Not everyone you know or come into contact with knows what Jesus has doen for them by coming to earth, demonstrating God's love through miracles, signs, wonders and teaching of God's ways.
Not everyone knows what Jesus has done when He willingly died upon that cross to remove the curse of sin from our lives.
Not everyone knows what Jesus has done when walked out of that grave victorious over sin and death, defeating the devil and taking back what He stole.
Not everyone knows Jesus is alive.
Not everyone knows those who believe and receive what Jesus has done live with the same resurrection power because of Christ in them.
Not everyone knows God still does miracles.
Not everyone knows God's amazing love.
Not everyone knows, because we aren't telling them, because we don't live like we are free. Because we have believed the lie, we are to suffer for Jesus when He has called us to live victorious in Him. To live victorious means there was a battle, a hardship, a devastation in our life, but we came out the winner. It may not have been the win we wanted but we found the peace that surpasses all understand and we walked and continue to walk in faith believing God will because we know He can.
You and I must reject the lie and see the truth. Everyone around us doesn't know Christ. We must admit we are afraid to tell them. We must tap into the boldness of Jesus Christ to take a stand and walk as He did. He was in dangerous places, telling people about the Father's love. We are His people. We are called to follow His example. He said and He would be with us. We are not alone. Who will you tell this week about God's love? Weekly, I am going to be praying for God to give me boldness and courage to tell at least one person about God's love and to share Jesus with them. What about you?
Father, this is different. This is what I think missionaries are "called" to do. At this point, with our country being overtaken from the enemy within, I see more clearly. I am a missionary here. It is not only about doing deeds of goodness, but I have to actually tell people about Jesus. I have to share the Gospel. I have to be willing to reach with Your love. You want Your love to be known. Why have I bought into the lie of being silent. That isn't going to win them over? If my silence is demonstrating God's love, then they can't see Jesus through me nor are they hearing about Jesus from me. How do I expect them to know Jesus if they can't see Him in my life nor hear my testimony of what He has done? God, I ask for courage and boldness to share the Gospel. I ask Your help to testify of Your love in my life. I ask to see the fields white for harvest. I ask that I would not assume people know Christ, especially when there is no obvious sign that they are living for Christ. I pray You would give me boldness and courage to share of Your love and for people to be receptive in Jesus' name amen.
