Warriors Arise: October 31, 2023
Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."
Jesus wants out light to shine so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven". Jesus wants people to see us. He wants people to see us do good works. Why? Why is this so important to Him?
What parent doesn't like bragging rights? When our child does something well, we want people to acknowledge their achievement. But God's intentions are much deeper than just wanting to receive praise for what you and I have done. God's intentions are for each one to see what He has done in our life and believe He will do it for our's/
When people see the light in us, they will be compelled to know the Father. Not only will they know they Father, they will give glory to God for what we have done.
When was the last time someone gave God glory for what You did?
Father, I have been pretty shallow in honoring You. I have not been willing to testify of what You have done fore me and through me. I pray I would have the courage to share what You have done in my life. I know what You have done for me, You will do for another. I will give testimony for what I have done. I will bring honor to You because of the good works I do. I will honor You not only in action, but in word. I will testify of what You have done in my life and how You have put a shield around me and I will give testimony of what You have done for me in Jesus name amen.
