Warriors Arise: March 28, 2021
Daniel 6:16 (NKJV) So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions. But the king spoke, saying to Daniel, “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.”
I wonder if king Darius saw something in Daniel's eyes. Maybe Daniel's body language said, "I'm ready to be with my God." Maybe Darius was thinking, "My error, my ego cannot cost you, your life; so I am going to do what kings do and declare what is to be done."
King Darius, "Your God...will deliver you!"
Romans 4:16-18 (NKJV) Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all 17 (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”
King Darius, was calling those thing which did not exist, people being thrown into the lion's den coming out alive, as though they did. As if by his word, God would save His servant Daniel. You might believe God would have saved Daniel whether Darius spoke to that which was dead, meaning the possibility of Daniel being kept alive in the lion's den, as though this phenomenon happened all the time. However, I believe Darius tapped into a kingdom of heaven principle. The reason the governors suggested people be thrown into the lion's den was because they knew it to be a gruesome death. They were not thinking Daniel would live through this. This decree, they tricked King Darius into signing, was to kill one man and one man alone. That man was Daniel. They would not have suggested the lion's den as the form of death if they had any question Daniel wouldn't die.
Darius, being king, used the only authority he could use and declared the will of God over Daniel's life. When you see a hopeless situation do you respond like Darius?
Be honest, because for most people, we immediately agree with the terrible situation, the adversity being too much, the uncertainty of the times, the chaos of the moment, and the treachery of the people rather than declaring God's power to be released into the situation. This is where the people of God have the ability to release the power of God to change the circumstances. Why? Because we are a royal priesthood. We have the authority of royalty and the anointing as a priest of God. Therefore, we can release the power of God in a disastrous situation no matter how demonically empowered it can be. Why? Because every demon will bow to the power of God in Jesus name.
1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light
Father, help me to understand and receive this revelation. Help me to embrace my position as royalty and my power as Your priest. I ask for You to open my mind and give me comprehension of Your amazing confidence in me. You want me to believe, like Abraham believed. I am to call forth those things that are dead as though they are living. I am to declare Your will to give and protect life as Darius did for Daniel. I am to embrace my authority over the enemy as royalty. I am to intercede for those who need the anointing of God from a servant/priest of God. Holy Spirit come. I ask for You to cause me to hear the words I am saying. I want my words to declare the life God desires for those around me going through a difficult time. I want my words to express the hope for all Jesus came to give us. I want my words to strike back the plans of the enemy and cause them to be destroyed in the name of Jesus. I want my words to release Your power for people to overcome the enemy. I no longer want to agree with the enemy, the chaos, the destruction, the faultfinder, the accuser of the brethren. I want to speak forth freedom, calling people out of the darkness and into the light in Jesus' name amen.
