Warriors Arise: December 12, 2021
Isaiah 61:1-3 (NKJV)
“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me,
Because the Lord has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
I hope you are about to get excited! "To proclaim liberty to the captives" is pivotal in the life of every Believer. Jesus comes and declares, "I am He" in the synagogue. Think of all the references were Jesus says:
Your faith has made you well.
Go in peace.
Rise and walk.
Take your up mat and go.
Go and do likewise.
Freely you have received, freely give.
Your liberty is free. Jesus said so, because He paid for your freedom. He paid for mine. You are no longer a captive!
What fears paralyze you?
What lies entangle you?
How has discouragement captivated your thoughts?
Why has disappointment poisoned your purpose?
Who are you to be giving what has freely been given to you?
Jesus didn't just give us a gift, He gave us freedom!
We testify of what Jesus has done, then we have faith to move away from fear.
We apply the truth of God's Word and the lies no longer hold us.
We replace the thoughts of discouragement with hope.
We remove heart wrenching disappointment with faith.
We testify of what Jesus has done to free others, as we have been freed.
It doesn't matter what binds us, it cannot hold us captive if we receive what Jesus has done for us. Take His hand and walk in the freedom He has offered, then and now.
Father, Jesus declared my freedom. I will no longer be held captive by lies. The Word is powerful, cutting away every lie. Each truth of Your love is activated in my life. I will no longer be held captive, paralyzed by fear. I know You are working things out in my favor. I will not be disappointed, because I know You have something better for me. I will not be discouraged, because You are positioning me to achieve the dreams You have placed inside of me. Things may not be going the way I had wanted; but they are going exactly the way You intended, so I reach my destiny. You are for me and I celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who has come to set me free and proclaim liberty to me, in Jesus' name amen.
