Warriors Arise, May 8th, 2020
John 20:11-12, "But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they (two angels) said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?"
Those words seem so heartless, "woman, why are you weeping?" We know history and the angels are living it. The angels might have been confused by her reaction. They might have expected people showing up and praising God because what Jesus said would happen, happened! Jesus is alive! He is not dead. But Mary, being human and hurt, might have been thinking, 'What do you mean, "Why am I weeping? I just lost! I lost everything." The only One who could validate me, tell me I am free, tell me I have a new life, the only One who could pull me from the muck and the mire to set my feet on solid ground, is gone and I don't know where He is, where they have taken His body.'
I weep because I don't want to go back to the way I was, the way people looked at me. I weep because the one person who validated me, believed I could be free and have a purpose is not longer here. I weep because in the short time I experienced freedom from demons, I want to honor Jesus, but He is not here. Jesus, the one who showed me I could live without being controlled by demons, is gone. He told me I could be who God created me. I did not have to be a prisoner, in the clutches of demons or of the people who wanted depravity. Now, I don't know who to turn to. I just need to see Him; I need to know He is ok. He was treated so cruel through the crucifixion and now there is no body. Why would someone do this? He didn't do anything wrong. He does not deserve this.
In all that could have been going through her mind, she holds herself together and responds in John 20:13, "...She said to them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."
God is the only one who knows who we really are to be. Jesus had set Mary free from seven demons. She was a new creation in Christ, but Christ was not there; He was gone. She had a new purpose in life, but the One who gave her purpose was no where to be found. She had been a part of a group who didn't relish in her torment from seven demons; they freed her from those demons of torment. She needed to know, was it real.
Warriors we are going to pray for those who have experienced the freedom Jesus offers and then entered this attack of the coronavirus and are now feeling they have lost everything. They need another encounter with Jesus. They need God to steady them through what they have lost and see God walking them out of the devastation and darkness into the what will be His plans of provision and strength.
Father, we lift up Your name. You are God and we know You are here for Your people. I ask for You to come and minister life to those who have lost through the disease of the coronavirus itself and those who have lost because of the effects of the coronavirus. You are God and there is no other we can turn to. I pray for people who trusted in You before the devastation of the coronavirus to find You now. I ask for Your presence to come into their homes, into their rooms, and Your words of encouagemanet come to their ears. I pray they will embrace the Word of the Lord and know that You are working all things in their favor. I pray they will follow You out of this darkness and refuse to be enveloped by how the coronavirus has affected their life. I ask for You to come down and speak to Your people. Touch the lives of those who are hurt because of loss of family and friends to be comforted by Your Holy Spirit and Your amazing love. I ask for those who have lost financially to receive the abundance of what You have to bring them out of this attack better than before. I ask for those who have lost their businesses to receive direction and provision from You on what to do for their next business or how to take their current business through this in Jesus' name. I ask for people to recognize they cannot trust anyone but You to get them through this devastating times. You desire for Your people to be set free from the bondage of what this attack has done to their lives. God, come. You are the only One who can set the captives free from financial ruin, loss of life in family and friends, and distrust that is meant to divide us. I ask for You to come and meet each one of us, right where we are. You are for us, who can be against us. I will stand with You and I will set my face to seek You, to know the truth, to know who You are, to get instruction from You on what to do in Jesus' name amen.

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus.
