Warriors Arise: January 11, 2022
Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV) Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
As I read back through this verse again. Something catches my eye. I thought the "it" was the road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. But read it again.
I will even…We can read the verse over and over and miss that God making a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert were the extra. They were not the "it." So if the "no big deal" miracles were the road in the wilderness and the rivers in the desert what is the new thing, the miraculous God is doing now?
I have missed that for years! I thought it was so over-the-top miraculous for God to make a road in the wilderness that I didn't realize it was an "extra" to the real miracle God is "now springing forth." This challenges me. The "it" God is now springing forth is bigger than him making a road in the wilderness and rivers, not just one river but rivers, in the desert.
Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV)Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
We know the Word of God is living and active. We know what He has done in the past, He can do again in the now and will do in the future. We know nothing can stop the Word of God being fulfilled. We know God has good, perfect and acceptable plans for each one of us. We know God has not abandoned us. We know God has redeemed us. We know God's love is everlasting. We know because He first loved us we have the ability to love others. We know His mercy is new every morning. We know He goes before us to make a way. We know He is not man that He should lie. We know Jesus said we would do great miracles than He did. BUT DO WE BELIEVE?

If we do not believe then we may not even recognize the miraculous, the "it", the new thing God is doing that is about to spring forth in our lives.
Father, I surrender. I know what You can do. I ask to believe what You can do. I ask to believe that You are doing it in my life. I ask that I not be passed by. I ask for my eyes to be open that I see the new thing You are doing in my life and through my life. I want to be fully engaged in what You are doing. I lay down my plans, my schedule, my fears and step into faith to believe for the new things You are doing in my life in Jesus' name amen.
