Crossover part 5
What difference does a day really make?
One day the Israelites were slaves and in a day they were free.
One day Nineveh was the most evil place on earth and the next day they were revering God.
One day Esther was a Jewish girl and the next day she was queen.
One day the Children of Israel are crossing the sea on dry ground pursued by their enemy and the next day the enemy was gone.
One day the children of Israel needed water and the next day God provided it through a rock.
One day Noah and his sons were building an ark and the next day the earth was covered with water.
One day David was a shepherd and the next day he was a giant killer.
One day David was an outcast and the next day he was king of Judah.
One day Nehemiah was a cupbearer to King Artaxerxes and the next day he was sent on a mission for God.
One day Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego were walking in the a fiery furnace and the next day they were promoted in the kingdom.
One day Daniel was in the lion's den and the next day he was brought out alive.
One day Peter was a fisherman and the next day he was a disciple of Jesus.
One day a woman was bleeding and the next day she reach out to touch Jesus' robe and was healed.
One day a man was demonized by a thousand demons and the next day he was free by the word of Jesus.
One day Jaruis' daughter was dead and the next day, by the word of Jesus, she lived.
One day people needed a Savior and the next day Jesus died on the cross.
One day Jesus was in the grave and the next He lived!
One day Peter was in jail and the next he was guided out by an angel.
One day Paul was bitten by a poisonous snake and the next day He was still alive.
One day it was December 31st, 2020 and the next day it was January 1st, 2021.
I totally understand there were things leading up to the day of crossover in each one of these illustrations from history. What is to say that the things that have happened this past year aren't leading up to "the day" of change? We don't know because we are not God. However, we are to have faith, God will not leave us in the mess we are in. Think about a couple of the events from above. These are real people in real situation who needed God to intervene.
We need FAITH.
Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We need HOPE.
Romans 5:5 (NKJV) Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
We need TRUST.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
We need LOVE.
Matthew 22:37-39 (NKJV Strong's,) Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
1 John 4:18-19 (NKJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.
1 Corinthians 13:8a (NKJV) Love never fails.
In Joshua chapter 3 the children of Israel were told to sanctify themselves, set out from their place when they saw the ark of the covenant of the Lord pass by, and go after it. Will you sanctify yourself, prepare yourself to leave the yuck of 2020, and go after the presence of God?
Are you ready to crossover into what God has promised you? Will you rid yourself of sin, slave mentality, and shifty thinking? Will you be ready to go after God when He passes your place?
Father, I want to be ready when You pass. No longer will I entertain sin. I will set my mind on You and receive Your counsel, strength and love. I will no longer live in slavery to the lies of the enemy but I will know the truth and it will set me free. I will live in the abundance Jesus died to give me. I will advance Your kingdom. I will establish Your ways in my life. I will embrace and live out the dreams you dreamed for me. I will not be overcome by darkness but overcome fear with Your love. I will set my mind on what You say and trust You in all things. I will not allow the enemy to twist the truth. Things of the past are to remain in the past as I step in line with Your will for my life. I will not return to questioning who You have put into leadership, nor where You are leading me. You will lead me into triumph and I will go after You. I ask for the people of our nation to sanctify themselves. I pray they would rid themselves of the lies, greed, manipulation, and selfishness. I ask for Your to cleanse each one of unrighteousness that we be truthful in all our ways, generous to those in need, honoring one to one another and value each other. I ask for You to set the record straight, strengthen the resolve of Your leaders to seek and follow You, and establish the expansion of Your kingdom here on earth. We will rid ourselves of sin, prepare to leave our old ways behind and follow after You in Jesus' name amen.

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus, riots, and lies.
