Warriors Arise: October 8, 2023
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
When is it that the pure in heart will see God? I believe this is referring to our time here on Earth, because we will all see God when we are in heaven. I can't help but think of those in Scripture who saw God. Most of them didn't know what to do when they realized they were speaking with God. Some of them didn't even realize it it until after He left, "Surely, that was God!" Fear would come over them. However, they seemed to regularly misinterpreted why God revealed Himself to them.
God never wanted to be feared by those He made in His image. He wanted to be received and honored. We wants this from You and I, as well. He wanted to have a position in our life where we would recognize what He is doing and join Him.

Is your name on the list? Do you recognize God at work? Do you see Him? If so, are you joining Him?
John 5:17 Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
God has always been at work. Yes, He took the seventh day off, to rest and enjoy what He had created. However, we see in Scripture that God walked with Adam and Eve in the cool of the day, everyday. His love for us motivates Him to be a part of our life and act on our behalf. Whether we see Him or not, He is working all things together for our good (Rom 8:28). I wonder if our love motivates us to be a part of HIs life and act in accordance with His plan?
Each one listed above saw God at work and joined Him. Not all of them started at the beginning of tier life, but when their heart was in pursuit of God, they saw God's plan and aligned what they were doing with God.
Father, I come before you today. I desire to see You. I want to know what You are doing and align with You. I desire to be a part of Your plan. I realize Your plan goes beyond what I can comprehend. However, I know when I follow You, I will be filled with joy because I have joined You. You are here with me. I desire to see You and be apart of what You are doing. Open my eyes so I can see You and align my actions to participate in what You are doing in Jesus' name amen.
