Warriors Arise: September 9, 2020
John 21:4-6 (NKJV) But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. 5 Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” 6 And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
Again, we have Jesus multiplying the fish! There was nothing all night and then Jesus spoke and the miracle happened. I don't believe in that type of coincidence. There were no fish all night long. The disciples had been casting the net and pulling it in for hours. Then a man from shore tells them to throw the net over the right side of the boat. They do as they are told, and are unable to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
What are you facing right now? I spent three days blogging and praying for people to be ready to get out of the boat. In that time, did you submit before God the area in your life that needs a miracle. You have been doing all you can do. You have been doing exactly what the doctors have told you. You have been faithful with your tithe. You have been faithful to your job. You have been faithful to your spouse. You have been an encourager for your children. Yet, you are not seeing the fruit of your labor, all of the right things you have done. As far as fishing goes, the disciples were doing everything right. What was missing?
The miracle. The miracle comes when God is there or when God overflows from within us. The disciples had been with Jesus for three and a half years. They had seen and been a part of many miracles.
Psalm 107:2 (NKJV) Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Jesus spoke and the fish came. What if the disciples had not cast their net? What would it have been like to see all the fish swim by? Makes me wonder how many times God asks us do something and we didn't. Then we watch our miracle swim away.
God wants to intervene in your situation; bring healing, restore finances, return your job, rebuild your business, make the enemy pay restitution. But event the disciples had to do as they were told, from someone they couldn't see. The disciples still had to cast the net or they would have seen their miracle swim away. God wants to work miracles for you and through you.
Daniel 11:32b (NKJV) ...the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
I guess we need to ask ourselves, "Do I know my God?" If I do then this verse says that I will be strong. Am I strong? Do I have courage as Daniel, Shadrach, Meshack and Abed-Nego? Do I have the strength to stand against the voices of those who intimidate me, who tell me I can't or I won't be able to? If I know my God, I will be strong like Joshua, who God and Moses commanded. Then I will carry out great exploits likes Joshua, Moses, Daniel, and his three friends. What God says to do, I will do. God desires to work miracles for you and through you.
Just like the disciples had to cast the net. Moses had to extend his staff and sometimes just his arm to be apart of the great exploits God wanted to do. A battle took place where Joshua asked God for the sun to stand still. Jael kills the king of Sisera. Peter and John healed a lame man. Elijah called for the rain to stop and it did for three years. God worked through these people. They did great exploits with Him.
They disciples cast the nets all throughout the night and morning had now come. There was nothing in the water. They hadn't given up. Jesus met them right were they were. Jesus met them when all their energy had been used up. Do you believe God can do this type of miracle in your situation?
Maybe you feel you have been spinning your wheels going nowhere, casting your net and getting nothing. But Jesus comes. He tells you exactly what you need to do for your miracle. Do you believe God will do a miracle, if you will join Him?
The lack of miracles in our lives is not a shortage on God's end. So it just might be ours. We have to be willing to do as God directs. We have to know our God, trust, believe, and do. We have to cast the net on the side asHe says. God desires to do miracles for you and through you.
A Christians can struggle with that concept for a number of reasons but the foremost is this: when God doesn't answer the one request they wanted the way they wanted, inwardly rebellion births in their heart and holds their minds prisoner to God's power. God has not answered all my prayers nor would I want Him to. He is God and I trust Him to know what is best. I trust He has a plan and I will abide in His plan. Unless He says no, I continue to pray. I do not allow His a "no" to stop me for praying for other miracles. As a parent I want my children to have everything I can give them but that doesn't mean they get everything they want. That would most definitely make them a brat, self-centered, and horrible to live with. There are times they need to learn to handle themselves when I tell them no. They need to trust in my decision and continue to honor me. Just like I have to trust God's decision and continue to honor Him. I have to continue to be in a sound relationship with Him and join Him in other great exploits. God wants to release His miracles for you and through you.
Father, this can be difficult. I have prayed for so many things from healings, to restoration in relationships, to finances and job improvements. The list goes on. No matter what the outcome, I want to pray and see Your kingdom released in my life and for those I present to You in prayer. I am thankful You see me, hear me, and are with me. I ask for ears to hear You and a willingness to do as You direct. You know what is best. I trust You. I will continue to petition You for the things You have not answered. I will not let Your a "no" in one area stop me from raising my voice to You in prayer for myself and others. I continue to petition You for the cure for COVID-19 to be made known in every country of the world. I ask for those who are infected with the virus to receive treatment to be healed and made whole again. I pray for those who are treating the COVID-19 patients to be led by You and given treatment according to Your direction. I speak peace to Portland, Chicago, New York, and every city around the world that continues to see rioters and looting. May three words be heard from heaven and resonate within each one of those stirring up strife: "Peace, be still!" I pray for the lying spirit to be bound in Jesus' name and truth to be made known. I pray people would desire truth and recognize it. I ask for Your miracles to be released, healing to come, finances to be restored, jobs to available and people to get back to work. I pray for Your people to receive miracles You desired to do on their behalf and for those who are to be a part of doing the great exploits in Jesus' name amen.
