Warriors Arise: February 19, 2023
1 Chronicles 15:28 (NKJV) Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting and with the sound of the horn, with trumpets and with cymbals, making music with stringed instruments and harps.
Honestly, what would this have been like? Can you picture it in your mind? Maybe take a moment, silence your thoughts, close your eyes, and allow the Lord to bring a picture of play a movie in your mind of what this would have looked like. Can you hear the sound of the shofar? Can you heart the trumpets and cymbals. Are there people scattered across the country side and from one hill to the next and there is the sound of shofars and stringed instruments?
Are there occasion we should be worshipping like that? Are there gatherings when we are solely focused on worshipping God? I have shared before how I used to load the kids and take them to church. Our drive was eleven miles and then it was thirty-five miles. Since Scott was a pastor, he went on ahead. I would get all five of our littles ready for church, load them up and then turn on worship music. I used this time to get our hearts ready to celebrate God when we arrived at church. I encouraged my children to look for someone to bless with a smile or hug or help. It might just being holding a door open or picking up something another had dropped, but we were there to bless others and celebrate Jesus.
When I think of this verse and the event of bringing the ark to the city, I see people scattered all over the hills blowing the shofar, dancing, and playing their instruments. I hear people singing and their hearts overflowing with joy. I cannot wait to see the replay in heaven! The thrill of God returning to the heartbeat of His people. That is definitely something to celebrating with your entire being.
Is God the center of your being? Is He your heartbeat? If not, seek Him out and make Him the center of your being. He desires to be brought into your life and dwell within you completely.
I am so looking forward to this next weekend where God has given me a revelation to share, The Overflowing is Coming. This has become so powerful in my life. I look forward to seeing God do this in the ladies coming. I have such wonderful anticipation for what God wants to do. I truly enjoy sharing with others, what God gives to me. I used to be so afraid of sharing and at times anxiety tries to get to me; but I remember my God and know He is with me. I know in my weakness, He is strong. I know if I do not share, it may cause someone to be a little longer in darkness. I share because what God has given me has brought such freedom and joy into my life, I want others to experience it. I share, because I know since God did it for me, He will do it for others. He will do it for anyone ready to receive His blessings. I am so incredibly humbled by the Lord. His love amazes me. He abounds in mercy and His strength is always available. When I want to chicken out, He reminds me that it isn't about me; it is about allowing Him to shine through me. I, just like you, are a light and we are not to be hidden under a basket. We are to let the light of Christ shine from within and give people the opportunity to see their way out of darkness. I cannot hide. I cannot take the back seat anymore. God needs His people to let their light shine for others to see their way out of darkness.
Father, I am in awe of Your love. You are amazing in all of Your ways. It baffles me that You desire to use me to shine Your light. I will not allow the enemy to lie to me anymore. I will not hide or back away from what You have called me to do. I will seek You and walk in Your ways. I will find You and follow You. I will not trail from behind, uncommitted to being apart of what You are doing. I will rise up and walk along with You. I will allow the light of Christ to shine from within me. I will not hide the light. Others need to see You and they need to see You in me. I will not hide when they need to get out of their darkness. I will rise and shine because You are within me and I am in Christ in Jesus' name amen.
