Warriors Arise: September 4, 2022
1 Samuel 18:6 (NKJV) Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments.
Some things are worth repeating. In yesterday's blog I asked, "Do you celebrate your victories that way? There are a number of ways to celebrate. Here we see they celebrated with the following.
With singing
With dancing
With tambourines
With joy
With musical instruments
You do not have to celebrate with these; however, I would ask, why not? When you have a victory why not sing loud praises to God who brought you the victory? When you have won a battle, why not dance before the Lord? When you have battled the enemy and won, why not grab the tambourine and release your gratitude to God? When you have defeated your enemy why not let joy overflow from the depth of your being? When you have returned with the plunder of the enemy why not pull out musical instruments and let your heart rejoice with a sound of thanksgiving?
So did you celebrate? Yesterday I asked you to remember a battle God brought you through. Did you celebrate?
If you did, how did you celebrate? Are there more victories you need to celebrate?
If not, why didn't you celebrate? Isn't the victory worth celebrating God bringing you through the battle as a champion? It is important that we develop a lifestyle of celebrating with God the victories He has brought us through. However, you first have to recognize the enemy trying to take what God has given us. Then seek the Lord, with Him engage in battle, and return to celebrate the victory with the Lord.
Father, You are so worthy of my praise. I want to be the champion who returns home to praise You for the victory. I want to know when I am facing a battle, to seek You for the strategy to defeat the enemy, have the courage to engage in battle and then celebrate with You the victory. God, You are amazing. You lead me into triumph. You are to be celebrated. The victory is to be celebrated and I am to recognize what You have done through me. I pray I have a lifestyle of celebrating the victories You have brought me through. I want my focus to be on what You have done and the victories that have been won, so that I have greater faith to believe for the victories yet to come. I will celebrate You in Jesus' name amen.
