Represent

Warriors Arise: November 27, 2022

2 Cor 5:20 (NKJV) Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us

Does this not blow your mind? Think about it. Let this sink in. The God of heaven and earth calls us His ambassadors. We are ambassadors for Christ. God is pleased for us to step into the fullness of what the position holds. It is a huge responsibility to represent the King. Then to think that God is pleading through us. First, He has to plead with us so we will accept what He has already given us. We are His ambassadors. Then He, through us, is pleading for others to align themelseves with His desire for them and the call upon their life.

You and I, we, are called to represent Christ. Think of the responsibilities of an ambassador. An ambassador has the authority to speak on behalf of the individual who has given them permission to represent them. An ambassador has the authority of the person who has sent them. Jesus tells His disciples and it extends to us, "All authority has been given to me and I give it to you." (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to represent Christ:

We have the authority to speak the truth in the Father's love.

We have the authority to share the promises of God.

We have the authority to stir up the gifts and calling within others.

We have the authority to teach others of God's amazing love.

We have the authority to encourage one another.

We have the authority to testify of what God has done.

We have the authority to pray, "As it is in heaven, so let it be here on earth…"

We have the authority to forgive.

We have the authority to reconcile.

We have the authority to lay hands on the sick and they be healed.

We have the authority to cast out demons.

We have the authority to cleanse the lepers.

We have the authority to raise the dead.

We have the authority to silence the enemy.

We have the authority to tell the enemy to go.

We have the authority to be exactly who God created us to be.

None of this is done in our power, but through Christ in us. We are told in Colossians 1:27, we, you and I carry Christ in us, the hope of glory. What does that mean? It means as Believers, when we activate the authority Jesus has given us, we are representing Him; we are His ambassadors. When we do not act in the authority of Jesus Christ, then we may be wearing a title but we aren't doing the job. You and I are ambassadors. So the title is ours. However, until we actually start applying the authority Jesus has given us we are not actually representing Him. Being an ambassador is not about a title, it is about what you and I have the authority to do and if we use that authority in the manor He desires. Are you using the authority Jesus has given you? Where would be the evidence in your life? Where are you representing Jesus? When have you acted as His ambassador? It isn't a one time event. It is a lifetime of opportunities. God didn't save us to be a trophy on his mantle. God saved us to be ambassadors for the advancement of His kingdom.

Father, thank You for giving me the authority to release Your love to all people. I stand in awe of what You have called me to do. I am to represent You. I am to release Your demonstrative love to all people. I am to represent You in a way that You are glorified. I will give hope to the people. I will not just wear a title, I will become what You have called me to be. I will be Your ambassador and represent You well in Jesus' name amen.
