Restrained or Free

Warriors Arise: February 3, 2023

1 Chronicles 15:11-13 (NKJV) And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab. 12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.

This is how GREAT our God is, He has a proper order. He has a way for things to be done and it will serve us well. There is no one who wants things to work out for us more than God. He is our Champion. The reason He leads the way is because Scripture tells us He leads us into triumph.

  • Do you want things to work in your favor?

  • Do you want things to work out for your good?

  • Do you want to do things right the first time?

  • Do you want to keep walking around the same mountain?

  • Do you want to remain in the desert when God has said for you to take the land He has promised you?

Yes

Yes

Yes

No

No

I sent my son three questions all in one text and he responded "Yes, Yes, No. I love being able to answer like that!" How did you answer the questions above? Did you answer the questions above? Did you answer them out loud or in your head? I'd like you to answer them again and this time out loud.

  • Do you want things to work in your favor?

  • Do you want things to work out for your good?

  • Do you want to do things right the first time?

  • Do you want to keep walking around the same mountain?

  • Do you want to remain in the desert when God has said for you to take the land He has promised you?

Not only does God have "an order", His order is the best way. It makes what God has put in our heart, so easy to move forward in when we know God has the best in mind. He wants us to succeed. God wanted to go with David. God wanted to be restored to His place among all the people. God wanted to be in His tabernacle. It isn't that He didn't like being at Abinadab's or Obed-Edom's, but His place is to be where He is available to all His people. His place is where His priests and Levites are doing what He called them to do. They were without active purpose, because no one returned God back to His place among the people. Their purpose remained, it was just dormant like a tree in the winter. Spring was trying to break through as David tried to bring the ark of the Lord back to the people.

When God puts something in our heart to do, He has a proper order. Proper order orchestrated by God is not restraining, it is freedom. His order will always saves us time, protects us, provides for us, and challenges us to grow in faith, leadership, and courage. Who doesn't like to save time? Then seek God for the proper order. Who does like to be protected? Then seek God for proper order. Who doesn't like to have provision for the mission? Then see God for proper order. Who doesn't like to be challenged? I checked when typing that question. honestly, most of us do not want to be challenged. It is human nature to remain the same but if we are going to grow into who God desires us to be and accomplish what God has put in our hearts to do then we are going to be challenged in our faith, our leadership ability will be enhanced, and we will be doing things that will throw us into situations we will have to go forward with courage. Those three things can sabotage what God has put in our hearts to do. We have to believe God is not giving us the proper order to restrain us; it is to bring freedom into our lives and the lives of those around us.

Faith is first. Faith is first; because until we believe God has put this desire in our heart, we won't seek Him for the proper order. The proper order is doing it His way. The proper order is doing things the easiest way. The proper order means we won't have to do it again, in the sense of not accomplishing the task. There are times when we have to do things again, but that is because they are meant to be established, they are a once a day, once a week, once a month, or once a year event/happening. They are supposed to be the platform upon which we build.

After faith, is leadership. Leadership is necessary if we are going to bring others with us. Many times we think what God is doing in our lives is only for us. It may start with us, but God works in multiplication. God works in one life to effect the lives of others. Therefore, we have to learn to be a teachable leader who seeks the Lord, so we can share with others what God is sharing with us. The change God has done in us, can lead to the freedom in others.

Finally, proper order will lead to walking in courage. The proper order will give us confidence to do what God has called us to do. We can shut the mouth of the accuser and the nay-sayers. When we hear God's voice and put it into action, we will have to silence the voices of those who do not have God's heart for us. We don't have to be mean about it; but we can't allow those who do not want the best God has for us, to steal what God has given us. This will take courage. I have remained in the desert like the children of Israel far too long, because of the 10 who spoke against the proper order of God. How about you? Thankfully, once I learned to silence the enemy, remove the nay-sayers' input in my life, and positioned myself before God for His proper order, I can boldly step forward into the land He has promised me. I can fulfill my purpose and live in the land flowing with the promises of God, that were just waiting to become a reality in my life.

God's proper order will require faith, leadership and courage. All of these are developed in the presence of God and activated when we move forward with His proper order.

Father, I am thankful for Your amazing love! You have a proper order for everything You have purposed in our heart to do. I will come before You and listen to You. I will move forward in what You have put in my hands to do, because I will activate the measure of faith You have given me. I will be the leader You need to me to be, because I am going to listen for Your proper order. I will draw upon Your strength to be courageous. In my weakness, You will be strong. I will find courage in Your presence on do what You have put in my heart to do. I will honor You with how things are to be done. I will seek You, because I know You are not restraining me. You are bringing freedom into my life in Jesus' name amen.
