Warriors Arise: November 30, 2022
Luke 10:1,2,9 (NKJV) After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. 2 Then He said to them, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. 9 And heal the sick there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
This is such a wonderful passage. Eight of us were able to make the trip to the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child Processing Center. We worked together like a machine. It was kind of a machine with bells and whistles, sparkle and shine, laughter and singing. We have learned to what the seven dwarfs knew in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. We not only whistled while we worked but we sang, dance, prayed, and cheered. Our feet might be screaming at us and when we get home we may move a little slow from being stiff, but our hearts will know the satisfaction the disciples knew.
Luke 10:17-20 (NKJV) Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” 18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 20 Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
I have no idea if demons were subject to us in the name of Jesus, while we were volunteering; but I do know God has gone before us, before these shoeboxes make it into the hands of the children. No matter how long it takes to get these shoeboxes into the hands of the children around the world, God is already at work preparing their hearts. He is working ahead of us. He is in our tomorrow. He is anticipating those who will receive those shoeboxes. His desire is for each child and their entire family to know Him, accept Him, believe in Him and receive Him. Demons will be subject to the name of Jesus, but the "greater work than that" is the names of the children and their family members receiving Jesus and having their name written in heaven. Jesus sees the harvest.
When you and I serve the Lord, we will be satisfied. There are few things in life that you and I will do that will bring satisfaction like leading someone to the Lord. When you and I join God is doing great exploits, the demons will be subject to the name of Jesus and His kingdom will be expanded on earth, because we have brought Salvation to them, through Jesus Christ. We have shared His love. His love is unstoppable. His love is unshakable. His love is a strong tower. His love is the rock upon which we stand. His love is the jewel that sparkle when we serve Him.
Knowing we have pleased Daddy God, brings a satisfaction guaranteed.
Do you see God at work?
Have you joined Him?
Can He send you out?
Who is He sending you with?
Will you release His power to bring freedom to the people and see demons fall?
Will you bring in the harvest?
Father, thank You for the opportunity to bring in the harvest. Not only is it an honor but it is amazing the level of satisfaction I feel when serving You to bring in the harvest. It is a blessing to see the abundance of what You can do in and through me. I am blessed beyond measure to have served today in the expansion of Your kingdom here on earth. My heart, mind and entire being may be tired. It is a good tired. It is a satisfied tired; it is a tired knowing I have been in Your presence, working along side of You and together we will see the fruit of our labor. I am overwhelmed at the level of satisfaction I feel in working today with You for the harvest that is guaranteed to come. We will see their names written in heaven in Jesus' name amen.
