Seasoned and Pickled

Warriors Arise: October 26, 2023

Matthew 5:13-14 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

“You are the light of the world...

First, you are the salt of the earth, and now, you are the light of the world! Wow! That is incredible. The value Jesus places within us is beyond comprehension. We are the salt of the earth. All things on the earth are to be seasoned with salt, the salt Jesus says we have. The salt Jesus places with in us when we receive Salvation. Salvation is not salt, it is like salt. It will change us. Is will make us seasoned. We will be flavorful. Everything on earth is to be seasoned by us.

Matthew 28:18-20 "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

To be baptized, means you are complete submerged under the water. Therefore, you and O are pickled! When does a cucumber become a pickle? A cucumber becomes a pickle when it has been seasoned and submerged. You and I are seasoned when we recieve Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We are pickled when we are baptized, submerged in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

I do not mean to backpack; however, I intentionally follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. As He gives revelation and interpretation, I want to share. We are forever hanged when we receive Jesus. What He gives us through Salvation changes us. We are no longer bland or flavorless, we are flavorful. We can offer to others seasoning to their life, a little salt can go a long way., especially when it is used in pickling.

It doesn't take much to season a cucumber when it has been pickled. The flavor is locked inside and oozes out when someone takes a bite. You and I are to be dripping with seasoning and we are give it freely to the world.

When my girls eat a pickle, they wrap the bottom half in a napkins so the pickle juice doesn't get all over them. When we offer Jesus to others, their bite should be dripping with flavoring and juice running down their chin and fingers and dripping on their clothes.

Father, I pray for You to come and minister Your life to me and through me. I desire to be flavorful. I have received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I have been baptized, completely submerged by the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. I am pickled. I desire to speak words of love and give testimony of Your greatness, dripping like a salty pickle and its juices. I pray for each one to know You as their Savior and be baptized in Jesus' name amen.
