She Didn't Get to Say, "Good-bye"

Warriors Arise: May 9th, 2020

Good-bye can be one of the most difficult words to say, especially when the loved one impacted your life, or if you see they could have had so much more life to live. Jesus was ushered into the city being hailed as the King of the Jews, spent Passover with disciples, they went to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was betrayed and taken by the temple guards, questioned by the temple leaders, taken to Pilate, to Herod and then back to Pilate. Then the crowds were shouting, "Crucify!" What is happening? Jesus was beaten, whipped, and a crown of thorns was smashed into skull. Finally, the death walk to Golgotha, carrying His cross that was tearing at his open wounds. Relief comes when Jesus can go no further and a man from the crowd is forced to carry Jesus' cross. Stripped of His clothes (the guards divided his linen clothes and cast lots for his tunic), hoisted up in a hole to hang from nails until His death. When would Mary have had time to say good-bye?

In John 20, Mary Magdalene, Mary, and Solame came to anoint Jesus' dead body, to give Him a proper burial and that seemed to be stolen from them. They arrived, the guards were gone, the stone was rolled away, the body of Jesus was missing! But God, sends a messenger to meet you.

You can have a God-encounter, know God is involved, know God has a plan for your well-being and still there is something inside you unable to move forward. In John 20, Mary has returned to the tomb after having a God-encounter with an angel who spoke to her, Mary and Solame, sending them with a message to the disciples and Peter. Peter and John head to the tomb, Mary Magdalene follows them.

John 20:11-13, "But Mary stood outside by the tomb weeping, and as she wept she stooped down and looked into the tomb. And she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. Then they said to her, "Woman, what are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid Him."

Her mind was still trying to wrap around what had happened in the 72 hours, let alone the last week! When things move so fast we tend to look for solid ground to stand upon. Mary had been caught up in a whirlwind of uncontrollable events and needed to find solid ground.

This pandemic has created such a whirlwind. God tells us in the Bible, "They sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind..." Hosea 9:7. Most don't know what to believe. Things that should be taken care of are being swept under the rug, because we have allowed ourselves to be swept up in the craze of the pandemic. People are out to make a dollar by manipulating our fears. The media is the wind and has caused such a problem with their deception, people are swept into the whirlwind the media has created.

I understand freedom of speech but there can come a time when that freedom is abused, I am so NOT a communist or a socialist! That is not what I am saying. I am saying, when someone's freedom over steps the freedoms of another then that person has in essence said, their freedoms are more important than those they stepped on.

I urge you to seek the Lord. God will not deceive you. God will reveal the truth and the truth will set you free from the fear the media is trying to use to imprison each one of us. Fear can cause us to make decisions we wouldn't normally go along with. Fear can cause us to give up freedoms we were never meant to yield. Fear can cause us to turn our back on the only One who can get us through. That One...is God.

Mary, needed to say good-bye, to have closure, to have a moment of letting her mind know the truth of Jesus the Messiah. By saying good-bye, she might have been able to know that before Jesus died, her feet were planted solid on the foundations of the truth of God Jesus had taught her.

The new way of life, the freedom Jesus gave her, it was a forever freedom, that is now established through the blood of Jesus. It is through the blood of Jesus we are made free. Jesus had to die for her to remain free. Mary wanted the whirlwind to stop, to know the truth of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for her eternal freedom from death and hell.

Warriors, I think of all those who didn't get to say good-bye to their loved ones. They need to return to Jesus to make peace with the horrific outcome of loosing a loved one.

Father, You are good. Your heart breaks over those who lost loved ones during the pandemic. You love Your people and desire for them to return to You, to seek You for the the answers they need and for the healing of their souls. I ask for You to come and wrap Your arms of love around each family member and friend who are hurting, aching in every part of their being; touch them with Your love. I ask for You to come and minister to their minds, bring peace, the very peace that surpasses all understanding. In a time where people would think it okay for them to take time for their healing, I ask for You to minister to each one today. Father, I ask for restoration of their souls and an alignment with the Holy Spirit to know You are here for them. You will give them peace and strengthen them with Your love. I ask for You to not allow them to fall into depression. I rebuke depression in the mighty name of Jesus. I ask for love, truth, and courage to be established in their lives. In their search to say good-bye to their loved ones I ask for You to meet them, minister to each one to the depths of their pain, in Jesus name. I ask for each one to embrace your love and walk in the truth. This was not your plan and You will walk them out of the shadow of death. You will restore their souls and strengthen their resolve in who You are. I pray they will embrace Salvation and make Jesus their Lord and Savior. You are the only God who cares and can free them from this pain. You will not leave them. You will go after the one who has wandered and carry them back on Your shoulders of strength and love in Jesus' name amen.

I want to share that the next three prayer strategies come together. Today's is the first of four in a string of revelation. You may want to read back through them as we add on to it each day. They were separated in order to keep a single focus for each day's prayer strategy.

A Warrior in the Lord’s Army,

Veridee Joy

My hope is for Believers in Jesus Christ to join together each day to pray, to push back the enemy as we release God’s power here on earth against the coronavirus. The prayers will be listed each day as Warriors Arise. I will put a date with it so we can keep them straight. If you have any questions please feel free to make a comment or private message me.
