Warriors Arise: December 16, 2023
Matthew 6:9a In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
As I write this, at the end of my day, Friday, I am feeling an overwhelming gratefulness for my Father in heaven. It has been a day. My heart has been wrentched and I am looking to my Father in heaven. There are times in life when you know there is no one here on earth that can help you.
Isn't it refreshing to know God is not caught up in the chaos around us? When we recognize He is way above the sitution. It is the differnece between the football coach on the sideline and his tactical coach who is up in the press box looking down from above.
The tactical coach can see things the coach on the sidelines can't see. The tactical coach sees the whole picture; strengths, weaknesses, type of plays the other team is using, the players and isn't caught up in the banter on the field or the hype in the stadium. The sideline coach is wise to get someone he can trust to be his tactical coach. God is our tactical coach. He sees from heaven, from above the playing field. He will guide us through and on to victory if we will stay in the game.
It is in those times when rejoice knowing I am praying to my Father in heaven. I know, He knows eactly what I need to do to bring victory.
I know through Him, I am given strenght to continue forward.
I know in Him, I have been given the power to overcome.
I know by Him, I am a new creation in Christ, the old things have passed away and the new has come.
I know because of Him, I can face the chaos.
I know with Him, I will rise up out of the pit and He will place my feet on solid ground.
I am so incredilby thankful my Father in heaven looks my direction to see how I am doing, if I need His counsel, wisdom, strength, courage or encouragement. He watches over me because His love compels Him to make sure I am doing well or if I need help. He takes notice of me because He looks for the opporutnity to cheer me on when I walking out what He has put into my hands to do. What He does for me, He does for you too. You and I, we, are His favorite. You are God's favorite. You are the apple of His eye. Will you listen to Him? Will you hear His counsel? From up above, from the tactical coaches box, He sees you and the chaos, disocuragement, and depression you are in. He is speaking to you. He is sharing with you what you need to do to rise up and win the day.
Father in heaven, You are amazing. Every minute of my day, You are with me. I am not alone. You guide me and protect me. You give me coruage to rise again. You give me strength to tackle the next issue. You give me wisdom to know how to handle a situation. You give me faith to trust You. You are better than any tactical coach. I am thankful You are in heaven with a view of everything going on in my life. I look to You and listen for Your guidance. You will always guide me to a win by the end of every day in Jesus' name amen.
