Terrorists

Warriors Arise: October 16, 2023

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,

For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Here in American, we have not seen real persecution for our faith in Jesus Christ. We have heard of it in China for the last thirty plus years. Now Israel faces a terrorist group who is burning people alive and cutting the heads off of babies. It is an atrocity. The world should be outraged by this.

When Jesus spoke these words did He see into the future. Did He see this day? All of His own people who are being persecuted and slaughtered. How does He bless them? He blessed them with the kingdom of heaven.

When they die for righteousness sake, they will enter the kingdom of heaven. They enter heaven on the other side of the blink. Death holds no sting for them. Death brings them into heaven where they are received with open arms.

When they are persecuted, they will have the kingdom of heaven. I believe this is in direct alignment with the Lord's Prayer, "Our Father, who is in heaven, Holy is Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." They will have the power to call heaven down into their situation.

We should agree in prayer for the righteous to be given the kingdom of heaven. We should pray for divine wisdom, authority and power for the Israelis. We should also pray for divine protection, strength and perseverance. We should pray for the enemy to be defeats by the power and name of Jesus.

Could you pray as David prayed from Psalm 109. You may think, "I can't pray that! How could David pray that? Did he really mean it? If God answered his prayer, that would be terrible." Keep in mind, David was praying this prayer because the enemy was being atrocious. Maybe God didn't answer his prayer, but God also didn't rebuke David for his prayer. Why do we think we have to put up with being persecuted? David was a man of war, but he also fought his battles in prayer as well. Will you fight in prayer for Israel?

Father, I ask for my heart to the pricked by people who are being persecuted. I ask for courage to pray as David prayed. The terrorists have gone too far and You will rise up and defeat Your enemy. They will not get way with this. I pray for You to give wisdom to the Israelis. I ask for You to lead them to the terrorists and annihilate them. In the Bible, there was a time when You threw boulders from heaven to kill the enemy. I ask for You to fight on behalf of Your chosen people. I pray for You to be known by the world. You will bless Your people. They are being persecuted and Jesus said they would receive the kingdom of heaven. There is victory over the enemy in heaven. I pray the Israelites would have victory over the terrorists today in Jesus' name amen.
