Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV) Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
As I write this, I am in awe of God. He is majestic in all of His ways, but I think His faithfulness may be what I am most thankful for. I have stepped out of line so many times, He should have given up on me, but He didn't.
I have turned my back on him more times than I can count, but He never walked away
I have argued with Him and kicked against the goad, like Paul, and still He remains faithful to patiently embrace His ways and walk with Him.
I have wanted to quit, because life got hard, but He wouldn't let go.
I have sinned, yet He extends His mercy toward me every time and I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus.
I have worshipped other things and people and still God desires my return to Him.
I have hurt God's people and He gives me more opportunities to get it right by expressing His love toward them.
God loves you and me more than we can imagine. He expresses it every day. He is faithful. It hurts how many times in my life I can look back and know I have caused Him pain or hurt Him, because I have hurt His people. He remains faithful to restore me and humble me as I go and apologize. He desires for His love to be revealed in my weakness. He is faithful each and every time. I am not perfect, but I am perfectly loved; therefore, I receive His love, allow it to heal me and extend it to others. God is faithful in all of His ways. I stand in awe of Him.
Father, I worship You. I am filled with gratitude for the evidence of You faithfulness to me. It should be me desiring to be faithful to You. I should be the one pledging my sword (the Word of God), my actions (fulfilling my calling), and my relationships (those in my sphere of influence) to honor You with my faithfulness. However, it is You who are faithful to me. You never abandon me. You are always ready to restore me and set me back upon the path that will lead me into triumph. You go before me, because You desire for me to succeed. When I succeed then Your kingdom advances. You will be glorified for Your faithfulness to me. I worship You and thank You for being faithful to me. I will rise and be diligent in all You have given into my hands to do. I will rise and strengthen my heart and mind to give You honor through my faithfulness, in Jesus' name amen.
