Warriors Arise: July 27, 2021
Daniel 10:10-14 (NKJV) Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”
Did you realize what the angel said? He was sent by God the very first day Daniel began to pray; however, he got held up by the principality over Persia. He couldn't get past the principality over Persia, the rulers of darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. So help arrived. "Michael had to help you?! Do you mean 'the Michael', Warrior Archangel Michael?" So, this angel standing before Daniel was in a battle with the ruler of darkness over Persia. The angel battled him 21 days until Warrior Archangel Michael arrived. As Michael took over the battle for this angel, he could get through enemy lines to deliver God's message to Daniel. What am I not seeing?
Ephesians 6:10-12 (NKJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
The spiritual realm is real. There are battles going on everyday over who will rise and fall. Just because most of us don't see it, hear about it, or recognize when we are in it, doesn't mean the battle isn't raging on around us. Where was Daniel? He was in Persia. Where was the angle caught in battle? He was caught in battle with the spiritual host of wickedness in the heavenly places over Persia.
Most people do not want to believe spiritual warfare is real. This angel was battling the very spiritual force of wickedness in charge on the very domain in which Daniel had been living in the last 70 years. Could you imagine if God were to pull back the veil between us and the spiritual realm? What if we could see the battle? There are times when I believe film makers have seen or they have read the Bible and God sparked inter imagination the spiritual realm. Think of the super hero movies. There is a battle between beings who are beyond human strength and ability. Good is generally trying to save the world and evil is trying to destroy the world. Very much like the angels of God trying to protect us and the demons trying to destroy us. All I'm saying is that I wouldn't be surpiresed if Stan Lee, the author of Marvel Comics, actually came out and said he had visions of seeing into the spiritual realm. The super heroes and villains in his comics were from visions he had growing up.
This angel standing before Daniel is telling him of he had to battle the spiritual host of wickedness that is over Persia. He wasn't talking about the current king. He was telling Daniel there is a real battle. He was telling Daniel his prayers had been heard from the rest day he started praying. God would make sure he would deliver the message to Daniel. It all started with a man who believed God would honor His word. The 70 years of captivity is up and Daniel was reminded God of His word. But, then, the angel came and touched Daniel. He probably didn't want to wait another day. Who knows when the battle would open up right there in Daniel's room? Remember, the battle is close. This isn't happening on the other side of the world. This angel was battling the spiritual force of darkness over Persia, the very country Daniel now served.
If you could, would you want to? If you could see into the spiritual realm, would you want to? What if you saw the battle? The battle over the next decision you make. The decision to honor and love your spouse, train up your children in the ways of the Lord, teach your children of the Word of God in your going and in your coming, honor all people, and serve with love and speak with passionate conviction of God's love for them. do you realize there is a battle for where you go to church and if you go to church? Do you realize God calls us to advance His kingdom together? But, if the enemy can keep us divided with his lies then we will not fellowship together in unity. Unity does not mean uniformity. Unity means we have the desire to advance God's kingdom. However, God knows exactly the best way to reach different people groups. We all have the same message, yet we deliver it a different way. Biker dudes deliver the message of Jesus Christ differently than the quilting ladies. They both have the same message but different crowds. The spiritual battle over the bikers is just as important as the spiritual battle over the ladies quilting group. God wants every one to be in relationship with Him; however, the enemy doesn't want relationship with the people God has created. He wants to keep them from being in relationship with God. Do not be mistaken, the enemy doesn't want people unless he can use the to hurt God and God's people. The battle is not only real, it is intense. You are valuable to advancing God's kingdom here on earth.
Father, I ask for You to come. The enemy is trying to rear his ugly head again with the threat of the coronavirus. I ask for You to come and strength the immune system within our bodies. I pray our bodies will resist the virus. I bless our bodies to resist sickness and disease. I bless our bodies to be strong and healthy. I bless our bodies to be made whole and healthy. Thank You for hearing my prayers and answering. Thank You for sending Your angels to fight on my behalf and for my entire family. I ask for the angels fighting for me to fulfill my destiny to be strengthen by Your word. I ask to see where the enemy has set a trap so I can step around it and walk freely away from it. Come and revive me again to pray for Your will to be done and Your work to come to pass in Jesus' name amen.
