Warriors Arise: September 8, 2021
Luke 8:42-47 (NKJV) But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. 43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, “Who touched Me? When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ” 46 But Jesus said, “Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me.” 47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately.
God knows when someone is reaching into heaven and drawing upon the power He holds. I believe this example happens on a regular basis throughout the day. God is wanting us to pray, "As it is in heaven" like Jesus taught His disciples to pray. God is listening for those who will declare His promises and reaching the heaven to lay hold of them.
Numbers 23:19 (NKJV) “God is not a man, that He should lie,
Nor a son of man, that He should repent.
Has He said, and will He not do?
Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
2 Corinthians 1:20 (NKJV) For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.
Matthew 19:26 (NKJV) But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Psalms 107:2 (NKJV) Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy,
Daily prayers and declaration are reaching into the heaven and drawing upon God's power. It is not that we get to declare anything. It is that we get to receive the things which God has promised us. It is why it is so important to know God's Word. When we know what God has promised to each one of His children then we can ask and it will given.
Luke 11:9-13 (NKJV) “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
I love that Jesus gives us a hint of what God wants us to ask for. We are to ask for the Holy Spirit. Once we are saved through the confession of our sin and receiving atonement for our sins through the sacrificial blood of Jesus, we need the Holy Spirit. He leads us in to all righteousness. All the blessings of God flow down from heaven to those who believe. It reminds me of the doxology we sang in church, "Praise God from Whom all blessings flow." All blessings come from God.
The power to overcome the enemy comes from God.
The power to stand when adversity has knocked us down comes from God.
The power to pray for your enemies come from God.
The power to humble our hearts and surrender to God comes from God.
The power to resist in comes from God.
The power to be delivered from demonic oppression comes from God.
The power to be healed comes from God.
The power to restore broken relationship comes from God.
The power to redeem time comes from God.
The power to be made whole again comes from God.
The power to restore what has been taken comes from God.
The power to love the unlovable comes from God.
The power to find the lies and then remove them comes from God.
The power to mend what was shattered comes from God.
The power to rebuild a bridge that has been burned comes from God.
The power to know the truth and be set free comes from God.
The power to be freed from bondage comes from God.
The power to turn ashes to something beautiful comes from God.
The power to have our mourning turn to joy comes from God.
The power to know the truth comes from God.
The power to lay hold of the all God has for you comes from God.
John 15:5 (NKJV) “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Psalms 121 (NKJV) I will lift up my eyes to the hills—
From whence comes my help?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to be moved;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who keeps Israel
Shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.
Father, I lift my eyes to You. I reach to heaven because I am connected to You like a vine is to the branch. I will receive Your power to overcome the enemy, rise above adversity, receive Your promises, and live in the fullness of all You have for me. Your are my source of strength, courage, and love. I will turn to You and declare the greatness of all that You are. You are my shield and my Salvation. I put my trust in You. You cause me to rise up when I have been knocked down. You are my God. Your Word is life to me and I will receive Your promise. What You say is what will be done. I am Your child and live in the fullness of Your love, peace, and joy. You make a way for me to prosper in my body, in my purpose, and in my mind. You are my God and I reach into heaven and pull on the power of Your love in Jesus' name amen.
