Warriors Arise: May 31, 2021
John 15:11-13 (NKJV) These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. 12 This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.
Today, we set aside time to honor those who died in service for our freedom. I am truly grateful for the freedom I live in today because of the sacrifice others have paid in blood over the last 2 and half centuries. I am thankful for our service people who gave their lives on the battle grounds here in America and across the world over the years. They saw freedom as something worth fighting for. The value they placed on freedom was their life. Each day we live in America we choose to honor or dishonor those who gave us the freedom we have.
Somebody needs to hear about the freedom that you and I have because of what Jesus has done. They need today to be their day of true freedom.
Do you remember your Salvation experience?
Do you remember the freedom you have been given?
Do you embrace the freedom Jesus died to give you?
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus laid down His life for us to live in freedom. He valued each one us with His own life. He gave His life so that we could live in freedom from demonic control. He gave His life so we could live in the destiny God put inside each of us. He gave His life so we could be healed. He gave His life so we could have dominion here on earth.
There are those who do not live in the freedom you and I have. We have taken Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. But just like everyone does not live in America, not everyone knows about Jesus. Not every one knows this freedom you and I experience. We have been given this freedom because of God's love. He sent His Son to die for our sins. Jesus gave us this freedom because He agreed to the Father's plan. He followed through with taking back what the enemy deceived Eve into giving up and Adam giving away. We have been given freedom to make choices. Some, even though they are saved, are still in a prison. Jesus unlocked the prison door and invited them to follow Him our but they remain in the prison, the prison door is unlocked and open but they have never left the prison.
A war has been fought for Your Salvation. A war has been been won and you have the opportunity to live in the freedom Jesus died to give us. However, it is our choice as to whether we will live in the dominion we have been given here on earth. Maybe you are saved. You have asked God to forgive you of your sins and received Jesus as your Lord and Savior. But are you living in the freedom you have been given?
Your mind is free of confusion.
Your will is aligned with the plans God has for you.
Your emotions receive the perfect love of God that casts out all fear.
Your strength is renewed by the opportunities God has given you to fulfill.
Your passion is directed toward fulfilling the call of God on your life.
Your body is made whole by the stripes Jesus took before the crucifixion.
Jesus died so you and I would live the abundant life. Or have you surrendered your freedom to the lies of the enemy.
John 10:10-11 (NKJV) The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
Jesus laid down His life for you and I. However, we are to off this freedom to others. When we share then we give them the opportunity for this to be their day of freedom!
Father, I ask for You to come and give me to fullness of Your love. I want to be courageous in sharing this freedom with others. I want to speak clearly and full of compassion when I share of the wonderful freedom Jesus has given us. I want to give this hope of a better life because of the freedom. I refuse to lie in my own little world unwilling to consider others and their need for the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the freedom He can give them if they will believe He came for them and receive His love into their life. I am thankful for the freedom I have because of what Jesus has done for me. I pray for boldness to share the love of Christ with others. I want eyes to see the lost and ears to hear their cry in Jesus' name amen.
