Warriors Arise: April 6, 2024
Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?”...
Why am I fearful? What is causing me fear? Defeat begins and ends in the mind. What our mind believes is what our body will act out. We get to choose if fear can come in or if it has to move on to its next victim. Fear is a choice. Fear is not the circumstance. Fear is the emotions attached to a negative outcome that is being believed but not decided.
When we recognize fear, we need to I identify the lie we are believing. God is second to none. We may truly believe this. So, if we believe God is second to none and His love never fails, what is the problem? Why can't we get rid of fear?
We might have to admit, "I don't want to go through this. This isn't what I signed up for. Why does this always happen to me? Why can't I get free from this once and for all?" Maybe you don't want to go through what you're going through. I don't like to go through the tempests that come my way either. If I can't stop them through prayer and declaration of God's word, I have learned I don't have to remain in them. I am just passing through. With that mindset, I push fear out the door and back in the street. I do not allow fear to torment me. I know God will provide a way out. I keep moving with Him and eventually, the tempest will become nothing in my life.
Do you want to the tempest to stop? Do you want to fear to go away? Identify the fear, then turn to God and identify His word and His plan. Pray through and declare His word to be strengthened. Know the tempest will end and freedom will come.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I come to You and admit the fear within me. I lay before You my thoughts and my actions that have aligned with the fear. Today, I tell fear to go. I declare the word of the Lord and align my thoughts with Your word. I will remember what You have done for me in the past. I will lay hold of Your promises and be strengthen in my faith. I will walk with boldness because I know You will make a way out. I know You will provide and protect me. I know You will hear my prayers and answer. I know Your love never fails. I know Your word is true today, yesterday, and forevermore in Jesus' Name, amen.
