What a Promise!

Warriors Arise: December 12, 2022

Psalms 5:11 (NKJV)

But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;

Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;

Let those also who love Your name

Be joyful in You.

I totally get why it says, "Let them ever shout for joy!" When we see God at work in our lives we have reason to give a shout for joy. In verse 11, the reason for the shout is because they have seen God defend them. Have you seen God step in and defend you? Once you were out of the situation did you give a shout of joy?

I really do not think I magnify the Lord well. I want to, because I believe when I magnify the Lord and give a shout of praise for what He has done; then I will remember Him sooner when the situation gets tough. When I shout for joy in celebration of what God has done there is something in my mind that will remember Him. There isn't a day that goes by where God hasn't stepped in and met me. There are times I wasn't available. I got a late start, or before I could get to my God time something happened. It threw a kink in my schedule. There are times I didn't go to Him, but He came to me. There are times He went before me and waited for me to settle down and come into His presence. Think about the last seven days. Where have you seen God come into your day or where you walked into His presence?

You may have to look at the calendar to remember what you did those days. But take a moment to see where God was waiting on you to enter into His presence. As I reread the verse above I think of three times this week where God defended me. He stepped in and defended me. I will give a shout the Lord! I have given a shout to the Lord! I have put my trust in Him and I will continue to put my trust in Him. He is faithful.I will call upon God who is the Rock of my Salvation. I will shout out to the mountain that stands before me and say, "Who are you, O Mountain. Be removed into the sea." (Zech 4:7&8) I will shout praise to my God and I will shout, "Grace! Grace!" I will not be found under the falling rubble of the mountain. My God will protect me. My heart rejoices in the Lord who is my defender. I find my strength in Him.

Father, I give a shout of praise to You! You have defended me before my enemies. I do not even know the fullness of their plans, but I know who has stood before me and protected me. I will shout with joy and give You praise. You are my defender. You give me wisdom to know what to do and what to say. You give me strength to rise up and continue down the path You have for me. You are my God and I will praise You. I will shout for joy for all that You have done. I will shout for joy and celebrate what You have done, so I remember the goodness of my God. Thank You for Your amazing love. I am filled with joy for You have demonstrated again Your love for me, as You have defended me and made my enemies at peace with me in Jesus' name amen.
