Warriors Arise: January 18, 2024
Matthew 6:19&20 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
What are the treasure of heaven? Give yourself a moment to consider this, what are the treasures of heaven?
What treasure does not have moth nor rust destroy? Let yourself consider the answer.
What treasure can thieves not break in and steal? Let yourself consider the answer.
What treasure in heaven is not going to be stolen? God will protect, guard and defend.
What treasure in heaven will moths nor rust be able to destroy?
I believe the treasure of heaven is you and me. People are the treasure of heaven. Jesus didn't come to save, restore, rescue, redeem things grown from the dirt or things made by human hands. These are the things moths and rust can destroy. These are the things thieves desire to steal. Jesus came to save, restore, rescue, and redeem people. You and I are the treasure of heaven.
You are valuable. You are significant. You are loved and adored. You are favored and blessed. You are called and anointed. You were born with a purpose and destiny to fulfill. God delights in you and cheers you on. God places within you dreams and gives you plans for your future. He wants you to embrace who He has fashioned you to be and walk through this life with Him. You are the treasure of heaven that will not rust or be destroyed. You will never be alone and always protected. No thief can take You from the Father's house. For those who have confessed their sin and made Jesus their Lord and Savior, they will, we will be in heaven; protected, loved, and cherished. We will worship Him and commune with Him in heaven.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. You are worthy of my praise. You have done amazing things in my life. You call me Your own and draw me to yourself. Thank You for finding me and making Yourself known to me. I am honored and humbled. Your love never ends and stretches to all Your people. You call me Your treasure and my mind struggles to understand. You are the treasure in my life. I will worship You all the days of my life in Jesus' name amen.
