Warriors Arise: December 28, 2023
Matthew 6:9 & 10 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
What would it look like for this prayer to be answered? Jesus, is our older brother. He knew His Father's kingdom in heaven. He knew how His Father reigned in heaven. He knew what was accepted and what was not. He knew what He was sent to do here on earth. Scriptures tells us He only did what He saw the Father do, so His response to what He experienced on earth allowed Him to show us how to access the kingdom of heaven and apply it when we face the same situations.
Jesus questioned, but He had the Word backing Him.
Jesus was tempted, yet He resisted the devil and he fled from Him.
Jesus was ridiculed, yet He gave wisdom and a solid rebuke.
Jesus was betrayed and He chose to surrender.
Jesus was rejected, but He never turned away someone who wanted to be healed, delivered from their demons, cleansed from their leprosy. He even healed those who didn't ask because they didn't believe, but their friends believed and asked for them.
Jesus was shamed and He chose to forgive.
Jesus died the death of a criminal, yet He rose again victorious.
Jesus gives us permission to honor God and ask as He wants to happen here on earth. He knows when we have victory because we have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, then others can receive, believe and live in victory as well.
You and I are to live in the same victory we know Jesus has accomplished. He has gone before us. He shows us how to access victory. It reminds me of the song, "Victory in Jesus, my Savior forever."
In John 10:10 the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus has come to give you life and life more abundantly. Live in the abundant life Jesus came to offer you.
My Father in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. You will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I pray I would fully comprehend the opportunity I have been given through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. I pray I would see and believe what He accomplished here on earth. Life was not full of ease and perfect circumstances. It was full of challenges He overcame and conquered. I pray I would face the challenges in my life with the courage and strength of Jesus Christ. I will surrender to You lead and rise vicious in Jesus' name amen.
