Warriors Arise: December 28, 2022
Numbers 6:22-26 (NKJV) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:
24 “The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.” ’
This really is a no-brainer. Who doesn't want to be blessed? There might be someone who would say that, but it is because they have already bought into the lie that they can't be blessed. Or believe the lie that blessings are for everyone else just not for them. There is a mindset that has to be changed. Just because your life isn't perfect doesn't mean you are not blessed. Just because things didn't happen like you wanted them to happen, doesn't mean you aren't blessed. Just because you had to go through that very hard and difficult time, doesn't mean you aren't blessed.
When a woman gives birth to a baby, she has to go through a very hard and difficult time. She has to experience pain like no other, but after the pain there is a blessing. The baby is the blessing. They are worth the pain for the moment, for a lifetime of wonderful opportunities with the blessing that has been entrusted to them to care for, nurture and teach the ways of the Lord.
Many times we do not see or experience the blessings of God until we go through the hard, difficult and painful time. One the other side we get so much more. We get the blessing of relationships, character, and confidence in God. He will get us through and we will receive His blessing.
Yes, there are some others who have no idea how blessed they could be after they have delivered a baby. In our lives, the Lord has given us blessings, not just with our children but through His loving kindness, to get us through difficult times in our lives. He is for us and will get us through. He will lead us out and restore us. He will champion for us and give us opportunity to grow stronger in His likeness. He desires for each of us to know His goodness and receive His blessing. Who doesn't want to be blessed when we have to see through the hardship and sacrifice to receive His blessing. I will say that you do not have to go through a hard, difficult, sacrificial time to be positioned for the Lord's blessings. But EVERY hard, difficult or sacrificial time you go through will have a blessing on the other side.
Father, I ask for You to give me the courage to go through the hard, difficult and sacrificial times. I pray I will grow stronger, with tenacity to get through the hard time and not remain in it. I pray I would learn from the difficult situation and make better decisions. I ask for the courage to make the sacrifice to bring honor to Your Name. I pray I would keep before me the blessings You have for me. I am so incredibly thankful You are not stingy with blessings. You pour out blessing upon my life daily. I want eyes to see them so I thank you for each one. I position myself before You to receive the blessing You have for me in Jesus' name amen.
