Warriors Arise: December 25, 2020
John 3:17-21 (NKJV) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, let us not forget why God sent Him to us. God does not hold our sin over our head. God provided a way for each one who would believe in Him to have everlasting life.
Jesus loved His Father so much He came to earth. He knew what was going to happen to Him. He knew His end on earth would be rejection, humiliation, and scorn but He came anyway. Jesus loved with every drop of blood in His body. He loves each person created.
Even though He knew what He would physically suffer, being whipped, beat and caned, He came anyway.
Even though He knew He would mentally and emotionally be challenged when the people screamed "Curicify! Crucify!" These were the very people He healed, delivered and brought back to life. He came anyway.
Even though He knew He would be spiritually challenged when His Father turned His back on Him when the sin of the world came upon Him. He came anyway.
We celebrate Jesus choosing to love us enough even when He knew the pain physically, the devastating of rejection, and the loss of His Father. We celebrate Jesus because He chose to love us with all that He was, with all that He is and with all that He will be in our lives.
Jesus came as a baby. Jesus lived as a man. Jesus loved as our conquering hero, Prince of Peace, Lord of lords, and King of kings. He is and was and will be the Alpha and the Omega. He is and there is no other like Him. He reigns as a Victor over the devil. He rules as the Just Judge. He receives us as One who laid down His life for the those He loves. Jesus is King.
Father, I am so thankful for the love of Your Son, Jesus Christ. I am thankful He chose to be human, laying down His deity to show each one of us how to conquer the enemy and live victorious. I celebrate today because of Jesus, because He first loved me. He found me when I was in need and He made a way for me to understand His love. He continues to demonstrate how much He loves me when I trust Him. He establishes His power in me to strengthen others and release kingdom freedom into their lives. I will worship the king of Kings. I will honor the Lord of lords. There is no other whose love is everlasting and never ending. I will praise You all of the days of my life in Jesus' name amen.
