Warriors Arise: December 27, 2023
Matthew 6:9 & 10 In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Most off us have given and received gifts we "re-gifted" because we didn't see the need or value for what we have been given. I wonder if we have re-gifted this gift Jesus has given us through this prayer or have we stuck it in a closet or up in the back of a cabinet?
You and I have been given a gift. It is a gift Jesus is telling us to ask for, declare and expect God to answer. Why? Because He told us too. It is not rude to ask for something we have been told we are to ask for. It is actually disobedient to not do what we have been told to do.
Jesus has given us a gift. He specifically told us what to pray. Our responsibility as children of God is to pray, therefore, why not pray what He has told us to pray. We are to pray, believing the gift, wrapped in this prayer, God wants to give us.
My Father in heaven, Hallowed by Your Name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I receive Your gift within this prayer. I will honor You by praying what You said. This prayer brings such freedom. I do not have to worry about whether I am praying "correctly" or what is needed for a particular need when I know You hear me. I desire to have You continue to share the fullness of this prayer. It is deeper than I have comprehension for right now, but I am willing to learn and use this beautiful and amazing gift. I will not re-gift it to someone else. I will not store it behind everything else on the cabinet. I will make this a part of my life every day and continue to receive revelation from You of the depth this prayer in Jesus' name amen.
p.s. My MIL will NOT be re-gifting her gift! ;)
