Warriors Arise: March 1, 2023
1 Chronicles 15:1 (NKJV) David built houses for himself in the City of David; and he prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.
1 Chronicles 16:1 (NKJV) So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it.
Without the ark of God, it is a tent. With the ark of God is is a tabernacle. The difference is the presence of God. Without the presence of God we are a tent, like any other tent, but when we have received Jesus Christ into our life, we have Holy Spirit dwelling within us; therefore, we are a tabernacle. We are the temple of Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV) Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
Ephesians 2:21-21 (NKJV) In whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NKJV) Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price, so glorify God in your body.
When we are saved, the Spirit of God resides within each one of us. Most of us lack the understanding of what it entails to be the tabernacle or temple of Holy Spirit. This is why I ask: are you with or without Holy Spirit? Does the Spirit of God dwell within you?
We cannot be Christians who are a tent with no Holy Spirit within us. This is not a true representation of God nor His ways. just as Jesus was given Holy Spirit when He walked the earth, we have been given Holy Spirit. Would you say you are a tent or a temple? Are you empty or do you have Holy Spirit dwelling within you?
Father, I come before You. Thank You for sending Holy Spirit to dwell within me. I pray for greater understanding of how to I connect with Holy Spirit. I pray for understanding how to operate with the power of Holy Spirit like Jesus. It is one thing to be told the Spirit of God resides within me, but how do I operate and function each day? I want to be the tabernacle, the temple hosting Holy Spirit. I do not want to be an empty tent. I pray for understanding and receive the fullness of the infilling of Holy Spirit in Jesus' name amen.
