Would I Hoop and Holler?

Warriors Arise: December 20, 2023

Matthew 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Hallowed: made holy, consecrated, greatly revered and honored.

Honored: regarded with great respect, great esteem.

Esteem: the admiration and the respect you feel toward another person.

I needed to get to a word I don't use regularly. Sometimes I can be too familiar with a word, that it loses its intensity. I want to be hallowed, honoring the name of the Lord my God. When I look deeper and find hallowed leads to honor and honor leads to esteem, I have a new intensity of hallowing the name of my God. I have a new fire of admiration toward the Lord my God.

There are times I want to reignite intesity in how I respond or what I am thinking. I will ask myself, "How would I respond to God if He were standing right in front of me or the Grand Marshall of a parade passing by?

Would I stand? Would I wave? Would I hoop and holler? Would I bow down? Would I be trying to get God's attention or would it be about positioning myself to honor Him, giving Him the esteem and admiration He deserves because of who He is as well as all He has done in my lifes?

Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. I give You praise and glory. I esteem You above all others and everything I do. You are my most valuable treasure. You are my Resucer, Redeemer, Restorer of life. You are fully present and active in my life. I lift Your name up with a shout of praise. You have always been for me, You demosntrate Your love toward me every minute of every day, and You have a wonderful future. I trust You. I value You. I live my life for You. I will give You honor and esteem You above all others in Jesus' name amen.
