Yes, All Y'all

Warriors Arise: January 29, 2023

1 Chronicles 15:11-13 (NKJV) And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites: for Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel, and Amminadab. 12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brethren, that you may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel to the place I have prepared for it. 13 For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.”

I really think we struggle as Christians to understand how important it is for us to do things together. David sent these men to sanctify themselves, you and your brethren. We have a hard enough time submitting to God and that may be as far as we go. But if we were truly submitted to God, then we would be submitted one to another. We would be building each other up instead of tearing each other down and constantly trying to take Holy Spirit's job. He is the One to bring conviction and correction. Do we think so little of Holy Spirit that we have to place ourselves as weapons of destruction, in the hands of the enemy and tear people down?

David was sending these men to go and sanctify themselves, you and your brethren. What a concept? We need to grab ahold fo this. Together. All of us. Each one of us. We need to be made clean. Each and every one needed to go before God and be made whole. Each one needed to be purified by the refining fire of the Lord. The Lord He is good. He will meet us. He will purify us. Yes, they were to go together and take their brethren to be sanctified, but God did the purification.

What if before we go to church we spent time in the presence of God and got our hearts right? Church would be a different place, because we would be different. What if "all y'all" were to do this? Everyone in your family. Everyone in your church. What would be different?

Father, I come before You to make myself avialible. I desire to be sanctified, before going to church. I desire to have you removed all the impurities within me. I desire for the dross to be removed. I am asking for Your cleansing power to come and wash over me. I pray I wold be ready to be made clean. I pray I would give up my judgements of others. I pray I would extend mercy. You are amazing in all of Your ways. You are so incredibly good. I will honor You. I will allow You to sanctify me before I go into church. I will be different, because You will have sanctified me. Thank you! In Jesus' name I pray, amen.
