Warriors Arise: October 30, 2022

1 Samuel 19:22-24 (NKJV) Then he also went to Ramah, and came to the great well that is at Sechu. So he asked, and said, “Where are Samuel and David?” And someone said, “Indeed they are at Naioth in Ramah.” 23 So he went there to Naioth in Ramah. Then the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. 24 And he also stripped off his clothes and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “Is Saul also among the prophets?”

In light of what I shared in yesterday's blog, there is something that breaks my heart. It hurts to see people who once flowed in the power of God, through the Spirit of God, and now it seems that it has become repetitious, instead of relationship. I do not want to repeat the same experiences I have had with God. I don't want the Word of God to become stagnate, because I fail to look deeper into His Word. The Word of God, just like our relationship with God, should be new, growing and building. It hurts to see people called by God, but they don't want God to lead them. God desires to do life with us. He wants to accomplish the call on our life with us, not for us to do it in our own strength. God isn't with us as a silent partner. He presents Himself, so we can accomplish all He has put inside of us to do.

Isaiah 55:3 (NKJV)

Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—

God desires an interactive relationship with Him. He desires for our soul to live. He wants our mind, will and emotions to be engaged with His love. This can only happen if we are listening to Him and going to Him. We must make Him a priority in our life.

Isaiah 55:6-7 (NKJV)

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

There are so many verses in the Bible pertaining to God's desire for those who have rejected Him to return. He is waiting, hoping, calling out to and giving opportunity for those to repent of their waywardness and return to Him. It doesn't mean God is going to bless us, while we are steadily walking away from Him. It means He leaves the door open for our return. His desire is to pardon us. In verse 7, it says, "He will abundantly pardon" us. Isn't that wonderful. I believe He would have done this for Saul as well.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NKJV) “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

God desires for us to listen because He knows. He really knows. He knows what we are thinking, what we are feeling, what we desire, and what we are capable of. He knows our hurts and when we have hurt others. He knows how to heal a broken heart. He knows how to mend a relationship to be stronger than it was before. God does not withhold any good thing from us. He calls us to Himself. He desire to speak to us, direct us, and strengthen us. He is our God and His love is for us. My heart goes out for those who are in their calling, but in appearance only. I pray for their heart to return God.

Father, You are amazing. There were times I was operating in my calling on my own. I didn't seek You; I didn't ask You, I didn't listen to You. Today, I ask Your forgiveness. Today, I position myself before You. I want to to hear Your voice and listen to every word You say. I want to live my life surrendered to You. I want to operate in the fullness of the calling You have placed upon my life. I want to be in perfect relationship with You. I do not want to do this on my own, in my our strength and with my own thinking. I can't. I need You. I want You to lead me, strengthen me and speak wisdom to my thoughts. I want You to be involved in my life. You are the most valuable part of who I am and what I am to do. I position myself before You and seek Your face. Thank You for patiently waiting for me and restoring me to what You have called me to do. You are my source of life and I will honor You in Jesus' name amen.
