Warriors Arise: December 17, 2023
Matthew 6:9In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Hallowed: made holy, consecrated, greatly revered and honored. Is that how you would describe your relationship with God?
When we understand God is holy, then we will not quesiton the counsel He gives us, we will not reject the love He has for us, we will not deny the blessing He has provided for us, and we will not leave the mission He has called us to. God is holy.
All that is recorded in Scripture testifies of His name being made holy. The miacles from the Old Testiment to the resurection life of Jesus Christ in the New Testiment and in each one of our lives today, holy is the name God.
God is the purest of gold.
God is the whitest of wools.
God is the strongest of diamonds.
He doens't make mistakes.
He doesn't give up on you or I.
And when we have repented and sought forgiveness, He doesn't bring up the past (well, unless He wants you to give tesitmony of His cleansing and restoring power.)
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed in Your name! You are holy. My mind cannot fully comprehend how good You are. There is no wrong in You, Your ways or the decisions You make. I worship You, for You are the purest gold, the whitest wools, and the stongest of diamonds. There is nothing that compares to You. You offer Your goodness to me. You clean me up and set my feet on the path You have for me. You bring me out of the muck and the mire. Even though I am unholy, You still reach throuogh my yuck and lift me up. I am humbled by Your goodness. I ask for You to conitnue to reveal to me Your holiness. Your holiness compared to my lack of holiness doesn't cause You to shutter or be disgusted with me. You love me, clean me, and restore me. I praise You in Jesus' name amen.
